ODU over/under

Post by ChickenMan »

What's your over/under number relative to league wins for ODU in their first year in the CAA?

ODU conference schedule;

@Delaware
UMass
@URI
Towson
@Villanova
JMU
Richmond
@W&M

I said 3. I figure they'll get Towson and probably URI (although that'll be tough on the road) and then surprise somebody else at home. God, don't let it be us...

Two wins, over Towson and JMU.

EDIT: Too late now, but I'll take an option for a third victory over Villanova.

I'm serious actually. In fact, UD is vulnerable too, catching us early with a young quarterback, though I think our O-line and running game can win some games by themselves.

I went with 5 or more. The Non-conference slate is weak and they'll find a way to win a couple CAA games.

On another note, Chicken man needs to post more.

I assume you mean total wins and not CAA wins. I see ODU going 3-0 in conference and winning 2-3 conference games for 5 or 6 wins total. I expect they'll be competitive in all their CAA games.

Read the first post. He said "league wins". ODU has no shot at 5 CAA victories this year. I'll lay real money on that.

I read it wrong too. I voted 4 thinking it was total wins.

2 for an overall record of 5-6. And I for one will consider it a successful CAA start and something on which we can build.

Who are the OOC games again? I know one is your long time arch-rival Campbell. :mrgreen: Who are the other two?

Over under for league wins is perfect to be set at 2.5 games. I'd go with the over, I see them getting 3 in there somehow. The gimme against Towson and then two more.

Thank you GF - O/U's on win totals are almost always half numbers to eliminate pushes.... and 2.5 would sound right.

Man, and that's from the guy who's team has an annual battle-royal against mighty mighty Morgan St. If people were still using the phrase "oh snap", that would be a clear "oh snap" dig.

With that said, Vegas has West Chester has a clear 2 TD favorite over either Campbell or Morgan St, and a 1 TD favorite over an all star team made up of the best players from the Campbell and Morgan St programs. :rofl:

I hope you all are enjoying yourselves. I can not wait for this season to begin and hopefully my team can earn back some of the respect that we used to have. This three year trip to rock bottom has been a complete nightmare.

Of course the dreaded Camels of Campbell at home; Georgia State on the road; and Hampton at home. And we have hooped it up with the Camels as far back as 1970.

We won 34-20; it was 34-6 early in the fourth quarter when we took the foot off the accelerator and slowed down the pace on offense.

I went with three conference victories - wins over Towson, URI and another team that we'll catch on the right day. Villanova maybe?

People forget how fierce the Camels can be. However, they have, to my knowledge, the only mascot that meets with every Americans with Disabilities Act provision. Their mascot literally looks like a walking spinal bifada patient.

To Andy.....when did TSU garner respect again?

I picked 2, getting thrown into the fire but I can see an upset of a upper-tier CAA squad

BUT I have them losing to Towson tho...

Yeah, I voted before reading too and put in 5+ as total wins. I would have gone 3-4 in conference. ODU is going to be a LOT more competitive in the CAA than most are thinking.

A good Towson would mean you wouldn't be a cute, laughable poster anymore.

We simply can't have that.
