In a stunning move, the University of Montana has decided to leave the Big Sky and join the Patriot League as a football only member starting in 2010. Montana officials stated that the move would allow them to see new teams while maintaining the same level of in-conference play. One Patriot league official was quoted as saying "Finally, our league champion will open the playoffs at home".
A scheduling compromise was reached that would allow Montana to play their entire conference schedule at home in 2010, followed by all away games in 2011. Montana can opt out of the Patriot League at any time after the 2010 season is complete.

At least there's a buyout clause.

I have undergrad degrees from both. I graduated UD in 1986 with a degree in Psychology. A year later I got a job as a land surveyor. I liked the surveying/civil engineering field so I went back to night school at Drexel in 1990. I graduated Drexel in 1994 with a degree in Civil Engineering.futureodualum11 wrote:unrelated to Montana football but just wondering how youre a drexel and delaware fan since there both in the same conference? When UD and Drexel play each other in basketball I lean toward UD since that is where I enjoyed campus life, probably a little too much.

That's assuming we even win the Patriot League this season, the PL is a considerable step up in competition from the Big Fluffy Sky.BlueHen86 wrote:In a stunning move, the University of Montana has decided to leave the Big Sky and join the Patriot League as a football only member starting in 2010.
