I assume you mean #10 Central Arkansas. Southern Arkansas is Div. II.
You are correct in that assumption Scott it is Central Arkansas
Any list that only includes 3 CAA teams is not very reliable.
Ok then, who should I remove to include a AT BEST 8-3 Richmond or Nova team(assuming JMU loses to ODU)
You should re-run your selections assuming that coastal carolina gets an auto bid(because they will) . Would Stony Brook get an at-large and, if so, who gets knocked out? I’m intertested in your opinion.
l’d pull the loser of the cal poly/NAU game dropping the Big Sky to three. I just have a real problem in my head punishing a team for playing two FBS teams(beating one, though I don’t know if you could count Army as an FBS team my high school could beat them GO NAVY btw) and losing to the other by six.
How about a 4 loss Towson after they smashed UNH today? Their losses are LSU , Kent St., ODU and JMU. I think they passed UNH today.
If NAU loses to Cal Poly – They won’t have 7 DIV 1 wins- If Sacramento State beats UC Davis they will I think Sac would get in over NAU. Plus they already beat Cal Poly and lost by 3 to montana st and e wash.
really, appstate at #14??? Georgia Southern behind Wofford? Did you research anything when you did this?
That I could see happening, I was going to publish an updated one this am(really feeling last night) but it is just such a shitcan that after the top five or seven teams it is just tough.
grayb70-please read the first sentance in the post to answer your question. I don’t have near the expertise to rank them all in order, so just laid out the top four and its just. Reading is an important skill these days.
Well i see those pretty much know nothing NCAA people screwed the Patriot League again.. No respect leaving out Lehigh with a better record than most of those in the playoffs. Lehigh beat Townson last year, Northern Iowa the year before. They could play with any FSC team. They go 10 and 1 having one bad half all year. Tough decisions i realize but LU was ranked #12/14 the week before ,beat their rival Lafayette in Easton in the most played game in history where you throw out the records and end up # 20 .without a playoff spot. Brutal. Seems you thought #9. NCAA directors are a bunch of losers as early as when they penalized Penn State. NO solution , just penalitites. Trying to play God. They should be ashamed of themselves . Oh well. When Lehigh plays Lafayette in the 150th game, now designated for Nov. 2014 at Yankee Stadium, I suggest they tell the NCAA higher ups to stay home.
So you think a 3rd place team in the MVC get’s in before the 2nd place team?
I am a 50 year alumni of NDSU and am in awe of the playoff system of FCS. The FBS is a joke!!!! The FBS picks two teams to play for a championship, The FCS gives 20 teams an “on field chance” to “earn” the title of Champion. Who gives a better chance??????
I know that someone will always feel slighted but there has to be reasonable process to the selection. My history at NDSU started in 1961 when the mighty Bison finished the season 0-10. The band had more bodies in the stands than paying fans. It was so bad that the student body hung the coach in effigy and misspelled his name. My Bison are the product of a great community, great college, great administration and great fan base that truly love the passion of competition in a one on one basis. Let the best team win!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think you are forgetting a team.. South Dakota State is in the playoffs and they won their first round game.
