Updated the transfer list. As MaineJeff pointed out on AGS, they got a RB from Buffalo who was a 2017 starter.

Gorsuch joins libs in case involving criminal defendants.

2nd time that Gorsuch has delivered the fifth vote with the liberals to strike down a law on vagueness of “crime of violence”.

I predict they’ll drop FB within 5 years. I agree. I think they drop it altogether. At least UMass has a history and a band. UConn was always a middling program that was pulled along by the money and prestige that the two basketball programs brought. They could drop football and nobody would notice...

Re: Connecticut moving to Big East for all sports except football

Building a stadium 22 miles/half hr off campus was incredibly DUMB. Nice G5 stadium, but a giant albatross. Far off campus stadiums (anything more than a few miles/in a different town/city) just don’t work outside of maybe being some legacy P5 powerhouse. And Connecticut’s stadium is 2nd in distance...

I didn’t say 2 closest neighbors. Maybe I should have specified neighboring state of Idaho..But the point remains. Idaho State isn’t a neighbor either. Not many domes being built these days, not that we could have ever afforded it anyway. We’ll struggle just to get the red turf replaced after this ...

Re: RE: Re: College football attendance down nationally again in 2018

Sounds like EWU should have done what your 2 neighbors did and built a small dome.. Idaho and Montana are EWU's two closest neighbors and I would guess that Portland State and Montana State are closer than Idaho State. If correct, only one of it's four closest neighbors has a dome. Sent from my XT1...

CAA teams’ G5/P5 transfers. The ones I was able to come up with from each CAA teams’ Winter & Spring & Summer news releases, 2019 roster, the transfer portal, and what’s been posted on AGS. Might be missing a couple. Current count at 33. Seems to be more league wide than I can ever remember....

CAA 2019 Offseason/Preseason Thread

Of course the big news is UD’s 60 million & athletic center renovations (which were announced late 2017), and the removal of the iconic piss wall. But that was well chronicled on here this past Spring. In other news. Legal troubles from this past Feb: Three New Hampshire football players arreste...

Re: College football attendance down nationally again in 2018

My observation from an EWU perspective... Time: even if you live within 15 minutes of the stadium like me and only go for the game, it still eats up half a day. If you tailgate like me it begins 2-3 days in advance buying food and organizing and then gameday itself is at least a 10 our ordeal plus ...

From late Jan, but even more applicable now. Makes a compelling argument Connecticut pulling an Idaho and dropping down, even though I’m sure its highly unlikely Connecticut would do this.

So it looks like for Connecticut the possibilities are: 1. Remain in the AAC for football: Unlikely AAC will allow this. 2.
