Re: Liberty gets a transfer CB from Georgia Tech
We never know what some of these kids want out of their college experience. Why would Chris Summers, with an offer from Louisville, choose Liberty right out of high school? Not true. Chris was all set to go to Louisville, there was a coaching change and Louisville pulled their offer because they ha...

Too bad our coaches suck and didn't take advantage of the talent.

They're definitely not the best students in the country. They were 6-8 years ago and before that but recently they've really regressed. They are still good, but they get the "best students in the country" off of reputation now.

Re: SB vs. Liberty
Lets not get past GWU this weekend. Talk about Liberty on Sunday. No over the horizon game plans yet. The GW game doesn't matter for SBU. All they have to do is beat LU and they will be champs. It means a ton to them. If they lose this weekend, and Coastal beats LU, then Coastal is in the driver's ...

Re: Chuck South vs Liberty week FINALLY
Mills being the best coach in the Big South is an absolute joke. If he were that, he would've won Coach of the Year at some point and I'm pretty sure we have the guy that has the most of those. He does a great job at CSU but he's been ranked one time and that ended up with a blowout loss to a team t...

Re: FINAL: Georgia State 41, Shorter 7
Yeah, Shorter got beat similarly by West Alabama already. Grain of salt, take this with. The on-the-field stuff wasn't nearly as impressive as the crowd and the atmosphere. I've been to a lot of places and this was on par with upper-level FCS/lower-level FBS. Granted, it was the first game and if t...

Re: Liberty and Richmond to start series
Kinda related, yesterday somebody asked Rich Radford (writer from the Virginia Pilot who covers ODU) during a live chat, "Is an ODU vs. Liberty game been discussed?" His answer, "I do not see ODU ever playing Liberty." I asked a follow up question asking for a specific reason wh...

Re: FINAL: Georgia State 41, Shorter 7
Was at the game tonight. Other than the ticketing and box office absolutely atrocious, everything about tonight was great. The crowd was in it and loud. GaSt took full advantage of the two video boards and all of the ribbon boards and used them great. The entire dome was made over with GaSt stuff co...

DK, ESPN3.com is the new name for ESPN360, their web-streaming outlet. It's available anywhere there's internet access. ONLY if your ISP has an agreement with ESPN. Mine does not. You can pay for ESPN3 if your ISP doesn't have the agreement. It's available everywhere, just not necessarily for free.

Davis is just a very fluid, solid running back.
Holloway, even though he's short and shifty, will run someone over in a heartbeat. That kid pops a ton of punch for someone as small as he is.

How bad is this going to hurt the Flames? http://www2.neweraprogress.com/sports/2010/jul/29/allen-lus-top-returning-rusher-dismissed-team-ar-355178/ Not very bad. He had troubles staying healthy and towards the end of last season SirChauncey Holloway was probably playing better. We also get Korrey ...

Re: Big South fans...what do YOU think?
Liberty
Stony Brook
CSU
CCU
Gardner-Webb
VMI
PC
Just like Manson said, CSU has both LU and SB away this year. I also feel that what led to CSU beating SB last year was that SB had looked ahead of them to LU and I don't think that happens this year.

Re: The Liberty Low-Down
Chris Summers has finally made "the leap." He's going to be an All Conference player and has the potential to be an All-American. He's gotten bigger and faster and has developed into the type of player that Louisville thought he'd be when they signed him. Ervin Garner is small but extremel...

The feeling around the program is that Tyler Brennan could start and be an all-conference quarterback so we've got a very talented backup.

Re: Big South WRs
SuperJon - If I'm understanding you correctly, a player who is the best WR in the league but plays QB 75% of the snaps either means 1) he's also the best QB on your roster and/or 2) he's the best rusher on your roster because your coach wouldn't play him for only 25% of the snaps at WR otherwise. T...

Right. And when he moves to WR for those 5-10 plays per game he will be the best wide receiver in the league.
