Re: Can anyone stop North Dakota State from threepeating?
I think that EWU lost too much talent at the WR spot to challenge a team like NDSU. Although they are the type of team that could do it. Very explosive on offense. The tough thing with NDSU is that their not very explosive on offense or defense, but they feature the best combination of OL and DL in ...

Re: New FCS uniforms and rebranding for 2013
Both new logos are going to take getting used to, but I do like the new "M" because it is different from the Michigan logo which people assumed we were representing. As far as the new Cat logo, I like it. Might have looked better with all gold, but the new logo is actually more accurate. B...

Re: Sam Houston vs North Dakota St
This is a great matchup but I have a feeling that Sam Houston is going to win this one. NDSU doesn't have the receivers to beat one on one coverage to beat the BearKats man to man coverage. It is still going to be a battle but NDSU has to get its passing game going. Lots of pressure on NDSU defense ...

Re: SHSU @ #3 Montana St.
I still have nightmares about last seasons game versus SHSU university and I am trying to figure how MSU can beat them. Last year on offense most of our offensive plays began with one of our OL getting shoved 4 yards into the backfield messing up everything and on defense besides assignments missed ...

Isn't Cal Poly's game vs EWU non conference game...Them and NAU have it the easiest the rest of the way.

Re: Athlon FCS Preview
NAU could beat any team in the Big Sky most years, they consistently give MSU a hard time and have had UM on the ropes a couple of times in the last few years. However they are a .500 team waiting to happen...its a Sourers specialty. They can get up for the big games but struggle to put a full seaso...

Strong possibility that Tru gets moved to safety which I think would be a great move for him. He definitely has the talent to do well at either position as long as he stays out of trouble....

Re: IF UM LOSES J. JOHNSON........
I think that the big questions that UM has to answer next year are 1) What will they do to replace the talent they lost on the defensive line? They lost a lot of talent there. They have a ton of talent at the linebacker positions and Hermansen will probably be the best safety in the conference. 2) W...

Re: UNI @ Montana...
Montana wins this one by at least two touchdowns. They are playing really well right now. UNI is a solid team, but after watching them vs NDSU they look very beatable. UNI is not nearly as strong as they have been in past years.

Re: MSU rushes for 415 yards against ISU
MSU played with a better sense of urgency in their home confines. However, when ISU throws out a defensive line that goes 226, 230, 275, 225, no matter how they scheme their linebackers and DB's(who actually played really well) they were going to get run over. They still have some big tests coming u...

Re: Montana State 9-0 vs FCS?
I think that MSU used what NDSU did to us in the playoffs as motivation in the offseason. We changed the focus of our strength and conditioning program, but another factor was the loss of RB O. Davis for the season. Both our RB's are downhill runners and we had several o-lineman (namely our center p...

Re: Will EWU win out after 0-4? When Ranked?
They have the talent and know how to pull it off. Sac State may give them a game depending on which team shows up, and PSU's pass defense has a tendency for breakdowns in coverage which EWU should be able to take advantage of. It will be up to the offensive line replacements to continue their develo...

Re: #4 MSU vs #25 SAC
MSU 28 Sac State 24. Sac State is definitely capable of beating the Cats and if McGhee and the Bobcats can't get their passing attack unleashed then they could be in trouble. It is going to be a great game. Both teams are very similar in what they want to do. At least the Bobcats won't be going from...

Re: Big Sky: Hardest Game To Decide On?
Biggest Impact - EWU vs UM - winner sets the table for the winner to win conference. Will also answer a lot of questions on the development of UM's offense. Hardest to predict - NAU vs PSU - NAU is still explosive on offense and has a QB that is deadly accurate. However they lost a ton of seniors of...

Re: Big Sky week 3 predictions
UM - 35 EWU - 24 - If EWU can't find a run game to offset all the pressure Breske will bring, could be a long game. Don't think that Griz will turn the ball over 4 times this game. T. Johnson vs Kaufman will be fun to watch. Renard needs a big day to disrupt first option on Griz run game. Weber 28 S...

Re: #1 EWU @ USD Discussion & Game Thread
When South Dakota played MSU they were a solid team but weren't able to catch any big breaks but gave us a ton of fight and you could tell they play solid football. Definitely not a team to go to sleep on and it sounds that is what EWU did.

Re: #1 EWU @ USD Discussion & Game Thread
From what I saw Renard Williams was able to get a pretty good push against the OG all day long getting into the backfield 2-3 yards consistently. It just didn't affect UW's offense. EWU's offensive line could run the ball if they wanted to, but that's really not an emphasis for how their offense run...

Re: Bobcats drop ducks add SFA
Both should be good games. There is a push at the FCS to add playoff teams which would include autobid from Pioneer Conference (Drake) When SFA comes to town it will be in the fall so they should be able to perform okay. Its when the snow flies that they get into trouble. Should help with our recrui...

I liked how our corners played and I know that MSU was making sure they didn't get beat deep. We shot ourselves in the foot bad and did about e...

Re: Montana at Tennessee Game Thread
Tennessee returns - A lot of talent at the QB, RB, and WR position. Their OL is fairly young but return All-American Center(was freshman last year). On defense they have a ton of talent in the secondary (81 starts) that had 9 picks between two of their players and Waggner (DB) is up for top defensiv...
