Re: UC Davis Fires Ron Gould
There were rumors this was going to happen a week or two ago. I was surprised they went with someone not connected to Bob Biggs 4 years ago, and I wonder if they'll look for someone connected to him this time. http://www.ucdavisaggies.com/sports/m-footbl/spec-rel/112116aac.html Dan Hawkins or Bobby...

Make sure to swing back by here after the game and apologize, the only way you even score on us is if you chop block 7 of our DL guys out of the game. We dont have Gregorek anymore and that is bad **** news for CP Already getting your excuses ready? I did not say we would win, although I think we w...

Re: Score Thread - Week 1
Nevada edges Cal Poly in overtime, 30-27. After a slow start Cal Poly held a traditionally strong Nevada offense to only 69 yards, 2 first downs and no points in the second half. Cal Poly compiled advantages of 23-18 in first downs, 445-363 in total offense and 36:09 to 23:51 in time of possession....

Re: Very Early Big Sky predictions
All I've learned from this thread is that I should expect 8 teams with 8+ wins, all challenging for the conference championship. I did not say Cal Poly would win 8+ wins though I think it is possible. What I said is that I can not see them only winning only 2 conference games as one poster suggeste...

Re: Very Early Big Sky predictions
No way Cal Poly goes 2-6 in conference. They were down last year, but the previous three years they went 17-7 in conference. Last season was the exception, not the rule. Maybe, but that doesn't change the fact they lost Brown & their top WR and that the defense has a long way to go to be any go...

Re: NDSU to host Chuck South in FCS Kickoff Game
If this is at all true and NDSU didn't want to do a H-H (JMU is perfect option for a H-H), then NDSU is going to find it tough pickings to find any program that wants to schedule a game with them. NDSU doesn't want to go on the road. You couldn't pay them enough to make up their lost revenue for a ...

Re: Big Sky Standings/Player Prediction Thread
I kind of have to laugh a little. When the conference expanded to 13 football members Montana was firm in that they wanted to play MSU and EWU each year. The conference obliged and gave each team two rivals that they would play each year in large part to accomidate Montana. Now we have to listen to ...

Cal Poly plays 3 of the above 4 teams plus Montana (OOC) with UM, MSU and EWU all on the road so I do not have much sympathy for you.AZGrizFan wrote:Only Montana plays ALL the top teams: ISU, NAU,EWU & MSU. Everyone else dodges at least 2 of the top 6. Nice unbalanced scheduling, Foolerton. WAFJ.

Re: Big Sky Standings/Player Prediction Thread
Cal Poly's offense will be a top 5 FCS offense if they stay healthy. Cal Poly did not have a great D in 2014 and they lose two great LBs in Dzubnar and Ontko. That said they will be better and deeper on the D-line and secondary in 2014 and overall I think a better D. Cal Poly's biggest challenge in...

I'm also not totally drinking the Kool-Aid on Cal Poly this year—they should be UM's "easiest" non-conference game. Cal Poly's offense will be a top 5 FCS offense if they stay healthy. Cal Poly did not have a great D in 2014 and they lose two great LBs in Dzubnar and Ontko. That said they...

Re: Who Wins the Big Sky (2015)
Hey I only watched the Griz play once in person last year and they lost by 20 to a team that can not get out of their own way. Just saying.... ;) You are correct though, we can not lose to a team like a 2-10 UC Davis team like we did last year and expect to win the conference or go to the playoffs....

Re: Idaho State 2015 schedule
Talk about a non-sequitur. To become a top-notch team in this league, you have to beat the Montanas and Eastern Washington. How does beating a .500 team plus or minus two games contribute to that? Because the coach now at ISU has won as a coach at both EWU and MSU. This is not the same old s...

Re: Idaho State 2015 schedule
Alrighty lol.... 1-3 at best! I do not think you are giving them enough credit. Offensively they are tough. They return the top RB and a very good/great group of WRs. If they get good play at the QB position they will be hard to stop. Defensively they have some work to do, but most Big Sky teams do.
