Re: Why I'm holding my nose and voting for Trump...

You are slowly getting there, Grasshopper. Keep working on it. :thumb: Getting where? I've long held that belief. If Presidents could control the markets, we'd all have jobs and the DOW would never drop and we'd all be gazzillionaires. What belief have you long held? You said "I'm not sure...", "Ma...

Re: Why I'm holding my nose and voting for Trump...

My voting is based on what's good for America as a whole, and not what is good for me personally. With that said, I have three main pillars of political posture: 1. Liberty - Freedom afforded to Americans based on current laws and the Constitution. 2. Safety/Security - Both nationally (strong milit...

Re: 2020 Official Baseball Season Thread

Rays and Dodgers combined for 238 pitches through the first 5 innings last night.
That's what happens when the ball is so lively and pitchers are afraid to groove a pitch.
Yet baseball is trying to figure out how to speed up the game. :ohno:

Re: Why I'm holding my nose and voting for Trump...

I'm not sure you can give any POTUS credit for the stock market or unemployment. Sure they may help create conditions that would affect the markets - maybe that's the more accurate gauge of success. I'm open to the possibilities there... You are slowly getting there, Grasshopper. Keep working on it...

Re: So, hhmmmm, what's a new topic? Hunter Biden

Thanks. Actually, I then went the ROTC route and unfortunately was diagnosed with a field of vision loss due to a detached retina. Had it for 18 years, went through basic training and 8 years of Reserves before it was caught. Was taking a physical for Airborne school when it was diagnosed. I was ab...

To Eagles fans: You're welcome for Travis Fulgham Sincerely, Old Dominion Thankfully he didn't show anything for the Lions last year and got cut from Detroit. And thankfully Green Bay only had him around for a week or so this summer before passing on him as well. Well the gushing over him is a way ...

Re: Miscellaneous news items that don't warrant their own thread

Honestly, Obama is the only one I can pick out of a lineup. I have seen pics of the rest, but when put up against a wall with other similar looking people, I would be guessing. And I consider that a badge of honor. Dear lord, do you guys leave the house or turn on a tv or read anything? Pick ...

Possible false positives in Colts organization. Several tested positive, then tested negative. The testing will need to continue, but the practice facility is closed.

Well I'm watching. The ALCS that is. Very little of the NLCS because, well, it's the NL.
Big game for the ALCS today. If Houston wins game 6, they will win game 7 too. So this is like a game 7 today, IMO.

Re: 2020 Official Baseball Season Thread

Joe - earlier in this thread you argued that the only reason the Rays beat the Yankees was because the Yankees had injuries. The Yankees were healthy for the playoffs, and they lost to the Rays. Then you try to argue that the unusual rules during the season was the cause of the "Bombers" downfall. ...

Leahy was rough. I physically cringed when they were having issues over Zoom and said they couldn't hear him. He's like one of those old dudes that you have to smile and nod for, and try not to finish their sentence for them even though you're dying inside to do so. Leahy.... https://www.masterjule...
