Re: What games are you attending this year?
As a Hofstra orphan and new season ticket holder at Stony Brook, i'll hit up all of SBU's home games. Definitely going on the road for Air Force @ Army and UNH @ URI, going to try and make it down to Towson for their tilt with UMass.

I got mine in the mail yesterday, just a basic looking ticket. The biggest problem is that they say Stony Brook and not Hofstra  **** Rabinowitz scumbag. Got mine yesterday also. First year in the chairback seats. Sat in those for the Lacrosse Quarterfinals so why not football-great view of th...

Re: Look who's got a new fight song- Gayest ever!
song isn't bad besides these lines: "We're from the ATL, we're gonna give em hell" and "G-S-U, G-S-U, G-A-S-T-A-T-E State!" I don't get spelling out GSU and then switching to G A State and then yelling state! My thoughts exactly, it sounds like a typical fight song kind of tune ...

When Hofstra had a team, we had open practices that many of us used to attend when in the area. As for my new adopted Stony Brook team, i couldn't say.

Even when it's SD, it still looks a little better to me when you watch on a quality television. SD on an old tube set is just flat out bad.

Re: Missouri State's New Helmet
I think that on low definition televisions, the bear head logo will look like a rose. Anyone still watching on a low def tv deserves to have it look like a rose. I watched the home run derby this year at my parents house on their standard tv, half the time you couldn't see the friggin' ball after i...

Re: Update on Lamar University's Stadium Renovations
Stadium looks like it will be nice once they get the finishing touches on it. I caught this article online as well about Kwabena Asante who is the Hofstra transfer and only senior on Lamar. I said it before and i'll say it again, from what i saw of him, i liked his style and running ability. http://...

Re: UALBANY Proposed Stadium Flyover-Shovel Ready?
I like it, i like it a lot and if this thing happens, it will be a thousand times better than what was there. When i went up for the Hofstra game back in 05, the seating was terrible wooden bleachers that really sucked. I think Albany will do this right and get people excited about their programs an...

He's white, he's a receiver and he wears 83..... hey, look, it's the next Wes Welker!! Regardless, good to see Mariani making himself known and here's hoping AE picks it up quickly. Hey, maybe 10 years from now they'll be comparing some white guy to Marc Mariani ;) . The next Wayne Chrebet, ...

I agree with ChickenMan, UD could be a bit too high and UMaine a bit too low, but dammit, worst of all is no Hofstra! This fall is going to suck!

Re: Big South fans...what do YOU think?
I'm too new to the conference to make an educated guess on the order of finish, but i will say that for SBU to finish as high as some predict, they will have to get solid play all season at the QB position. With the young soph stepping in last year, it'll be interesting to see who takes the lead sin...

Best of luck to Hemphill, though i have to be honest, he was on my list of please get rid of him coaches. We had so many special teams blunders that it was comical at times. Hopefully he enjoys more success at UD.

All i know, if the option was NEC or nothing for Hofstra, shit, i would have jumped at the NEC. The alternative sucks and for us, it came like a sucker punch out of nowhere.

Re: URI Spring Game
hey UB, Dangerfield is making noise at Towson. I think I might be able to make it up to the black and gold game this saturday to see him in action. Supposedly he's playing with a very big chip on his shoulder. Sad story, lost his dad right before he came to Hofstra that summer. He's supposed to be ...

So sorry to hear about your program Uncle Buck. I give you credit for still posting here. From what I've heard, Morgan and Probst both look like good pickups for us. I'm sorry we had to get them the way we did but I'm glad we have them. I thought that Probst should have been our starter all of last...

Re: URI Spring Game
Awesome to see Hofstra transfers Billy Morgan and Steve Probst getting some ink. Morgan can flat out fly and while i think URI will redshirt Probst who is young and never used it at Hofstra, he will be a player down the road. Excellent passer and a very headsy ball player.

I'm really looking forward to SBU this year. The biased part of me wished they would have landed at least one of the HU receivers who were a talented bunch, or at least Steve Probst to keep him on the island. Either way, SBU is definitely moving in the right direction. Walking past the stadium a cou...
