Re: Wofford to take SoCon, national titles '10

Wofford's gotta get through Idle first, and quite frankly I don't think they can beat them

Re: Elon vs Richmond game thread

Congrats on UR for the win today. I personally would have played for the TD instead of the 47-yard FG knowing the Elon kicker's range but I'm not the coach. Not trying to take anything away from Richmond, but had the kicker made the short field goal, the outcome may have been different as the moment...

Re: Elon vs Richmond game thread

If Richmond forces Riddle into an early turnover, UR can win (and win big). However, if they allow Riddle to get into any kind of rhythm, Elon could pull off the upset. I agree...it really comes down to if Riddle can find his groove or not in the game. Elon seemed to rebound well against Samford in...

Re: ...::::THE GREAT WEST SHOULD DISBAND: Heres The Plan::::...

I like the divisions. The one main critique I would have from this is that there would not be a round-robin schedule anymore, which tends to diminish the meaning of having the best conference record a bit.

Re: Elon is still reaching for Appalachian's stature

Hopefully we can rebound from this game and not suffer from that November funk that we have been through the two seasons prior. I don't expect an easy one this week against Samford though, because they know they have a chance to play spoiler to our playoff chances.

Re: Playoff Projections- Nov. 15

Here's hoping that Elon doesn't choke the game against Samford away

Also, I secretly hope that Elon would play against Richmond...it means I wouldn't have to do any traveling, and we can get attempt some "revenge" on the Richmond win @ Elon last year. :thumb:

Re: SoCon Championship - App State @ Elon

Okay, since many App people just remembered they have an AGS account, I'll post live thoughts here. First off, App has a Championship defense. Saw some of it last week, but it there in full force today. Second, App has a Championship offense for obvious reasons. However, Armanti's might want to tak...

Re: SoCon Championship - App State @ Elon

I'm not feeling good about this game. Elon has been easily handling teams App St has struggled with. Our defense has only had one really good complete game (GaSo), and a few good halves and quarters here and there. This is a chance for Elon to make a statement as well ... in front of their home cro...

Re: Missouri State - team on the rise?

I can't see them getting by SIU personally. Sure, they are using a freshman QB until Dieker can come back for the playoffs, but the freshman QB will have 2 games in between the YSU game and MSU, which will give him some valuable experience. If anything, playing SDSU right before MSU will definitely ...

Re: UMass @ Richmond

If UMASS wins how far does UR fall? If I was voting on polls...assuming everyone else was idle, I'd probably put Richmond at #6. Obviously, not every team is idle, but that's a base position on where I put them and they could rise or fall a couple of spots depending on how the teams around that pos...

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that Richmond wins 26-23 in OT. And if I wasn't going to be at Elon for Homecoming this Saturday, I would hop on GRTC and get to UR Stadium in a heartbeat.

Re: Idaho State

This Idaho State team looks even worse than the winless 2000 Bobcats. At least that MSU team played some conference opponents close. The Bengals' closest DI game this year was a 38-17 loss to Sac. It does not bode well for the Bungles this year.... I smell and 0-fer.... :coffee: But look on the bri...
