Re: 2022-23 Coaching Change Thread
4-21...Overqualified? :coffee: Thoughts? Anyone see this coming? I thought Baldwin would eventually get this going, but maybe recruiting to a place that has a higher admissions standard than a 2.0 and a pulse made it hard for him to overcome? Yes, I have thoughts. I think he sucks. He signed a seve...

Re: Big Sky Power Rankings 9-9
You mean when the ball bounced off the head of a CP special teams player and Weber ended up with the ball on the CP 15? That swung the game to Weber ...didn’t make it closer....maybe I’m confused? I was talking about the WSU stopping CP on 4th and goal, then WSU punted on their ensuing possession a...

Re: Big Sky Power Rankings 9-9
Davis was very lucky to have escaped SD with a win. Cal Poly really was far more dominant against USD than the score suggested. At Weber, Poly was closer than the score suggested....yes I'm being a homer but I don't quite see Poly falling based on last week's result and I certainly don't see Davis ...

Re: Big Sky Predictions 9-7
Came in at 11-1 last week, missing out because I didn't believe in Cal Poly. One game this week pitting two conference members in a non conference game, otherwise another round of non-conference action. My humble attempt at perfection this week. Thursday Western Colorado (DII) at ISU---First game o...

Re: Big Sky Predictions 8-31
I think Davis has a chance to upset this week. I also believe Cal Poly will handle USD. Now that Walsh has named Jalen Hamler the starter at QB we might have an actual Triple Option offense again versus the Single Option (FB Dive offense) that they ran over the last two years.

Re: Big Sky Prediction Thread - 2019
Mvemjsunpx...looks pretty good to me. Eastern seems to be benefiting from a lite schedule. Davis may be the top of the conference. As for Poly I think they will be better than you have them here and ironically that's because the defense will be much better than last year. They were extremely young o...

Looks good I'd put forth that Cal Poly is worse than Portland State...Unfortunately they wont play this year to prove it.

Re: 2018 Big Sky Preseason Predictions
Cal Poly is likely to be awful ....Yes Protheroe is back and if stays healthy he will give us a fighting chance to win a few but they're likely looking at another sub .500 year. God willing the team will stay healthy and their record will be respectable this time. Alternatively, if they have another...

PSU beats the snot out of SUU Davis does their annual Jeckle and Hyde and beats Cal Poly into their worst season in a decade MSU over ISU but in a close game NAU because Sac doesn't even look like they play football anymore EWU ...not sure why UND ...because they are better and they are at home

Re: Big Sky: Holy Crap!
Right, but it should be said that SUU has managed to avoid playing any of the Big Sky teams that currently have playoff hopes. Yep. But they've at least dominated through that stretch. The closest call was yesterday and they still won by 11 . Huh? Cal Poly dominated SUU in almost every way....they ...

Re: Big Sky Predictions 10-24
CP — because they can win and if they don't win it will get very ugly in SLO SUU — SUU is underrated and UC Davis is very bad (until they play CP at which point they are tops in the BSC) ISU — two awful defenses and one good offense NAU — The Weber bandwagon will breakdown in Flagstaff UM — because ...

Exactly what I had thought before I started ranking but apparently that 11-12 spot is hotly contestedbiobengal wrote:CPAlum wrote:I got a bit lazy at the end.
Whatever, you are forgiven. Does it really matter whether you are 9-10-11-12 or 13 in a 13 team league?

I got a bit lazy at the end. My bad.....UNC does not suck as bad as Davis but they both suck bad And how can you put Weber below Montana AFTER WSU won in Missoula? :wall: In my zeal to disparage my own team, I have apparently offended other fan bases; Let me clarify UNC is better than Davis and...I...

Its great how you unbiased folks continue to put Cal Poly in a top 5 or even top 3.......I cant do that anymore. Re: Who Wins the Big Sky (2015)
I voted for Cal Poly....because I went there :coffee: I actually think the biggest reason that they will not win the Big Sky is their schedule. From a talent standpoint this team should be pretty loaded. I am confident they can score on anyone in the conference; we will see how well they can defend.

Re: I feel for Idaho State
Cal Poly learned the hard way that you cant play DII teams and get At Large bids. I believe they went 10-1 one year with a DII win (maybe was 2) in the GWC. No At Large... Scheduling out west is much tougher with few out of conference options but two DII teams on the schedule is too much and actuall...

Re: Big Sky Playoff Analysis
Montana's reputation seems to get them lots of extra love I'm guessing they'd get in. Fair to note If Montana and Cal Poly win this weekend they'd both have 7 D1 wins. Cal Poly does not deserve a spot but has the same D1 win total and beat the snot out of the Griz...make of that what you will Fair ...
