Re: NEC OOC 2012 Schedules
UA's hangup was red tape at the state level...last week I was told the Governors office gave final approval...there is no more red tape. Now we sit back and see what they build but a brand new facility is coming.

Re: UALBANY Proposed Stadium Flyover-Shovel Ready?
At halftime of today's Maine/UA game both the president of the school (George Philip) and Athletic Director (Dr. Lee McElroy) were on the local TW TV feed. Philip stated that UA is awaiting some final approvals and that think they will break ground in December before it really freezes while McElroy ...

Re: UALBANY Proposed Stadium Flyover-Shovel Ready?
Based on what I've been told directly/indirectly, exactly WHAT gets built will depend largely on on the cost analysis study that has yet to begin. Furthermore, there are plans to start a fund raising campaign that will bring in another 5 million in private donations and the stadium will be named aft...

Re: UALBANY Proposed Stadium Flyover-Shovel Ready?
I've been told that phase one of the project has been funded (14-16million). Design phase will commence this December and construction will start late 2011 early 2012 in time for first game Sep 2012.
Exactly what gets built at this point will hinge on the design and coast analysis studies.

Re: UALBANY Proposed Stadium Flyover-Shovel Ready?
The current "facilities" IMO are 90% of the problem why more don't come out...IMO it's not weather or any other crap. Start winning IN half decent facilities and we'll get 10k there. OK then. It was my mistake in reading. :thumb: To offer further clarification on what I meant...I might no...

Re: UALBANY Proposed Stadium Flyover-Shovel Ready?
I actually think the high-water mark for attendance will be 8 K if we had that capacity. When the weather is good...Albany gets around 4500-5000 fans. It is only in the dregs of deep fall winter... I don't want to say this the wrong way, but what the hell else is there to do in Albany on Saturdays ...

Re: UALBANY Proposed Stadium Flyover-Shovel Ready?
As far as attendance, I think they high watermark with this facility right off the bat would be something like 5K people give or take a little. This is a facility that will serve us well now and into the future. Regionally there is no competition for football in the area, if they put a winning produ...

Re: UALBANY Proposed Stadium Flyover-Shovel Ready?
Something...anything would be better then the current dump.
Simply amazing, now if only we had concrete proof that dirt will start moving soon. Video's are nice and I'd rather have a vid then no vid but I'm trying hard not to totally sell myself out to the hype.
