Will Wiscinsin have a better defense this yr? If they had any kind of a "D" last year they could have won it all with Wilson & Ball.

I will take JMU on this one as well. Great run defense, and really good team speed.

Great job Towson. Your OL pushed our guys around, and your RB was a beast. Coach called a great game, and took chances when he needed to. Nice to see a team that has not been at the top over the years have a good season!! Keep it going!

Re: JMU @ W&M

I'm actually feeling this one. Dae'Quann Scott is emerging as one of the better running backs in FCS ... Justin Thorpe is starting to emerge as a leader ... and the JMU defense is finally going to master the new 4-3 scheme they adopted during the off-season. No lack of respect for WM or Grimes ... ...

Re: Your top 5 after this week?

The 24 was off a bit in that we had good yardage, and had penaties and an interception take points off in the red zone, but of late it seemed we could almost score at will against VMI. What I saw yesterday was a solid running game, but no real fire in the offense, and no real downfield threats. That...

Thanks for the support, but so far a lot of WM fans are not thrilled with what we have seen to date. Historically, we are known for innovative offense, and solid execution. We are hoping that the offense breaks out for us soon......

Re: NAU Dome to be ready for home opener

I was in N. Arizona last month and drove through the NAU campus looking for the football stadium. I finally realized that the dome was "it'. Man there is a lot of construction on that campus.....does look nice though. Good luck this year.

Re: VCU expresses interest in acquiring City Stadium

UVa is no ACC football power. London did his farming in the Tidewater area in his past life, so bringing UVa down there was not a earth shattering experience. Let us know when FSU has some drills in Tidewater. 757 is overrated, unless you add felonies as style points.

Re: Preseason Top 25

GSU did wax W&M. I had a bad feeling when we got the ball first, and ran three very, very predictable plays. I told the guys beside me before the opening series, I hope we do not run those plays, and we did. GSU defense played very tight, and the QB we had playing that day did not make the throw...

Re: Athlon Preseason Poll

If GSU finished 6-5 and returned 20 starters, we wouldn't be the #1 preseason either, but since the Eagles won 10 games and went to the semis I can understand it (though I don't really agree with it). Pre season polls are about as worthless as tits on a bull (take your top 5 every season and probab...

Re: Game your looking forward to the most

@WM hands down. I hope that game has 20 personal fouls, numerous fights, and multiple ejections on both sides. Laycock was a douche last year after we almost pulled the upset in Norfolk, and his lecturing our team afterwards was bush-league and unappreciated. Hopefully, this game will be so dirty t...

Re: ODU's 2011 Schedule, First Year in CAA.

URI will be no slouch this year. They were solid last year, and bring a lot back. ODU surprised me last year in Norfolk, and the game atmosphere there was electric for the WM/ODU game. In 2011 WM will not take ODU lightly.

Re: Georgia Southern @ W&M

Should be fun, will be a cool, crisp day. W&M defense will need to make the tackles when the ball is in front of them. With all the focus on Ga. So's option, I have not heard much about our RB Grimes. He has been dinged up all year, with a week off I see him having a monster game...... We have n...

Re: Did Bitter Montana AD screw over MSU, EWU??

I guess staring at a red field causes brain lapses, so I will outline it again: Last year we were 9-2 with a win over a FBS (and yes last year we also beat a conference foe who made the playoffs) and did not get a seed. The second round (see "winning first round game") we went to seeded SI...

Re: Did Bitter Montana AD screw over MSU, EWU??

Dude,

We were 9-2 last year with a win over a FBS, and did not get a seed. We took Weber at home, and then had to go on the road and took out a seeded team quite nicely. If you guys can pull that off this year then perhaps things will change.......
