Re: Congrats to all the Big South teams on a great season!
Well said bucs90. Good luck Saturday against the Flames. I have no dog in the game but would like to see 2 Big South teams in the playoffs. As an added bonus, if the Bucs win, then my own GWebb Bulldogs after a weird season with impressive wins and equally unimpressive losses with a Furman win over ...

Re: 'Splain it to me Lucy...
I wish I could give you a good answer but there isn't one. I know of no other team in the Top 25 who has beaten 2 of the teams currently ranked ahead of them and at the same time has a better record than those two higher ranked teams and yet sits below them in the rankings. Some may point out the cl...

Re: Big South LB 2013
Keep an eye out for Chad Geter at GWU and with G-Webb going to the 3-4, it's entirely within the realm for Pre-Season All-Conference DE Preston Pemasa to be standing up at OLB along within interior backers Burch, Taylor and probably Geter at the opposing OLB spot.

Gamedays define all but with that said, I will go out on a limb to my BS brethen, GWU has a excellent shot to surprise many in the league in 2013. The Defense has the potential to be a dominant force with the DL manned by O.J. Mau, Matt Goods, Preston Pemasa, Reddick, Fata and Shelton all pushing fo...

He looks like he has bulked up quite a bit, what's his weight? I know he can catch it and run with it. Will he still be long snapping?

I don't believe that Trey Schley is on the 2012 G-Dubb Team. I'm not certain of the circumstances of his departure but he is not listed on the roster and I heard that he wouldn't be back.

Re: Big South WRs 2012
" a) God help Gardner-Webb" 1) Who would turn down that kind of help? 2) Statistically, there is no doubt that G-dubb doesn't have much returning. On the other hand, there is talent here with great speed, good height and the question is, will the QB whoever it may end up being, surprise. 3...

Re: Comprehensive List of FCS over FBS wins?
That comprehensive list leaves out last season's (2010) Big South wins of Gardner-Webb over Akron and Liberty over Ball State. I do believe that the MAC has sent teams to Bowl Games the last few years. I know that the Big South doesn't get much respect but hey a win is a win is a win. App. State wit...

Re: Big South Predictions
With almost all posters placing G-Dubb at 4th or 5th and even as low as 6th, expectations are extremely low for our Running Bulldogs. That sets the table for nothing but upside for our team going into the season. We should be the underdog in almost every game along with a nice sized chip on our shou...

As for G-Dubbs RB's listed, Patrick Hall has graduated from the program. That leaves Juan Blount, Kenny Little (coming off a medical redshirt) and quick as greased lightening Ricky Rhodes a converted DB as the top 3 on the depth chart. Little and Rhodes looked good in Spring Ball, Blount sat out Spr...

Re: Big South QBs 2011
John Rock I understand has left the program at G-Dubb. That leaves Chandler Browning as the only returning QB with experience. Word has it that G-Dubb has recruited a JUCO QB transfer along with a dual threat QB from New York. Browning having been in the program and going thru Spring Ball has all th...

I'm pretty sure that gardner-webb has an open date on the 5th of nov. There has been rumour that g-dubb was also looking at lambuth on sept 24th with an open date on nov. 5th as g-dubb's new hc dickerson's father is the hc at lambuth. Would ga state be willing to play at g-dubb? G-dubb could flip th...

To be absolutely fair to a fellow Big South member (CSU) I haven't yet heard any Buc supporter claim that they have anything short of the worst facility for football in the Big South. To be fair, the school's mission is not just football but education and to support to whatever degree they can muste...

Re: Welcome to Gardner-Webb Coach Ron Dickerson, Jr.
Brighter days are our ahead for our Running Bulldogs. This young Coach has all the apparent qualities that one would look for in a HC. The thing that stood out to me most today was his comment that you can't be a HC who tries to lead but rather you need to be a leader who can coach. That's a distinc...
