It would be the same 2 stroke penalty regardless of when they were notified. The advice rule has been around as long as these players have played the game. I don't believe they didn't know about the rule.

You're the reason people don't like golf.
Most people don't play golf. They are pretending to play golf.
Of course of someone didn't pick up a soccer ball and run with it, we wouldn't have rugby or american football.
So what if the caddie stood facing the golfer and told them how to move their feet? Penalty there too? I know golf nerds love the arcane rules, but there are plenty of really dumb rules in golf. I believe that's fine, but I can't imagine anyone doing that. Give me some examples of the ones you thin...

The now Democrat-controlled House of Representatives introduced a bill to eliminate the Electoral College. Since they didn't win the last presidential election under the rules that have existed for almost 250 years, they now want to change the rules. Below is the explanation of why this is a very, v...

Gave my son a picture of the 1980 US Olympic Hockey team a few moments after the win over the Russians that's autogr...

If you look at the detailed voting map vs. States, the area of Country Red would be quite a bit larger. Look at the map of NYS as an example.

There's a us geologic survey plate on the side of the building I used to work at in downtown Albany, NY. It was something like 16' above sea level. 60 meters would be way more water than that map is showing.
Who are you? JSO Jr.? Oh come on Ivy. You know very well that any reasonable person would conclude that the guy has mental issues. I don't know why you do what you do on this board. You have to be a smart guy to have gotten accepted to an Ivy League school. How can you possibly NOT see that w...
UAlbany women's lax beats no. 20 Notre Dame 10-7. Changed head coaches a week before the season and lost first 7 games. Now on a 7 game winning streak to pull up to 7-7. Still have to play no. 1 Stony Brook a week from Saturday.

I thought he said Shoot! also.
That's because Shoot is the new Shit!

Tying in rugby, one of my old rugby team mates son is Keven Harvick's business mgr. so I've become a Harvick fan. The son was a placekicker in college and was in the arena football league for a while.
Played for many years after college. Really loved the game. Not a fan of rugby league, or 7s that much. Of course I was a prop, so 7s wasn't my cup of tea. A lot of great memories from rugby. It took a while to get used to going to a post game party to drink and sing "rugby" songs with the...
