Re: 2R - EWU @ #6 Montana (Friday)
Hauck has a little secret: his STs, esp. his kickers. I think most teams relegate their STs to 3rd position behind offense & defense, & it seems all the press write about is the O & D, giving little notice to STs.

So, what happened to Jace Lewis? I thought he'd be in the news the most, wearing #37. Injured?SeattleGriz wrote: ↑Mon Sep 27, 2021 1:31 pm I know AZ said it somewhere, but keep your eye on Patrick O'Connell from the Griz. He is a one man wrecking crew on tackles, tackles for loss and sacks.

South Dakota State needs a passing game. Too many drops and misses. Sam Houston's passing game much more effective.

As a lifelong Griz, MT/USD has to be possibly the most important game of Hauck's second year tenure. I really hope he's solved the problems of last year. Looks like this year's Griz will be far better. Would like to see a blowout.

Bobby Hauck Back at Montana
MT is his & his wife's home. I did not think he would leave the halcyon climate of San Diego and a chance to be San Diego State's HC. But, there it is. His bad experience at UNLV should not be held against him, as at the time, the program, there, had little support. I think BH will bring back to...

Re: YSU @ #2 EWU 6:30 PM ECB, ESPNU
Yes, only after a failed 2 point conversion. 93hen says neither an xtra point or play after the TD was advisable, when in fact Youngstown went for 2. I agree a kneel-down was best, but why not after the TD, instead of going for 2? How could they kneel it down after going for 2? :? I thought they sc...

Re: YSU @ #2 EWU 6:30 PM ECB, ESPNU
Maybe I'm dense, but after a TD, w/ the score @ 40-38, Youngstown still risked a fumble going for 2. Also, what chance is there for an XP block? That's a pretty far out scenario. Why even go for 2, if that's the case, w/ only 4 seconds left? They kneeled it down, didn't they? Yes, only after a fail...

Re: YSU @ #2 EWU 6:30 PM ECB, ESPNU
Couldn't watch the game, caught last part of 4th qtr on an ESPN website. My question is, why did the Youngstown coach go for 2 w/ only 4 seconds to go? How the heck would EWU be able to score w/ only 4 seconds on the board from their own territory? Maybe because I couldn't see the situation, I don'...

Well in my case, my wife is pregnant with twins, which we found out about in August. So my making the game is often up-in-the-air until the last minute. EWU 72, Idaho State 0. Kramer is no match for the playoff machine. Sac State 35, Portland State 34. Hornets win a tight one. Finally. Cow Poly 31, BBQ 24. Good matchup. Kitties 66, Manure Pile 65, 4OT. Blown mandatory 2-point conversion seals UCD fate. Montana 56, UNC 5. Griz take an intentional to...

All I can say at this point is that EWU is #2 in nation & UM is not. This talk about fan support & #s in the stands is getting a bit hollow w/ me. Don't know how EWU attracts the players w/ the facilities it has & UM hasn't for awhile. Maybe Beau Baldwin has something to do w/ it? You'l...

Vegas would be great. IIRC UNLV is close to the strip too. The WCC holds its hoops there now and it seems to work out fine for them. There's also a bowl game in Vegas. It's the Las Vegas Bowl, featuring the MWC champion vs. an at-large opponent. This year it was Fresno State vs. USC. Yes, UNLV is c...

Field conditions didn't seem to bother the Bison. Anyway, how about UNLV's Sam Boyd Stadium in Vegas? The field is grass, but weather shouldn't be a problem, w/ an outdoor stadium. I don't know if cost is an issue. UNLV & Vegas are planning a new stadium on the UNLV campus. If built, pretty imp...

It's stupid to play football in an open air stadium like WaGriz in predicted +17 w/ a -1 chill factor. eGriz fans seem to relish the challenge. Funny thing is, while they freeze in the stands, the players & coaches on both sidelines will have space heaters roaring. You can't tell me only CC pers...
