Re: Armanti Edwards the worst pick 2010 draft?
I have a good friend who works for the Panthers and has been a friend to the Richardson's for many years. He said that Fox had a personal beef with Edwards since he wanted to draft someone else in that position. He knew he was out the door anyway so he did all he could to stick it to the front offic...

Re: ASU continues study of possible move to FBS
30k is too low. 50k is probably too high. Somewhere in the middle is probably right... around 40k. Our attendance has continued to increase greatly... even after our run of national championships ended and long after Michigan. Our regular season attendance increased by 2 or 3 thousand from 2009 to ...

Re: APPALACHIAN STATE, YOU CHEAP, OLD FASHION SONS OF BITCHE
Umm 8,600 came right off of your own webpage. So either you don't know the size of your stadium or your website needs some updating. Are you talking seats or capacity? Big difference.

Re: Appalachian State to CUSA?
So in the end, despite our teams being in FCS, I just think that "having playoffs" isn't necessarily something people should be standing on a soapbox and beating ones chest about... when these playoffs have so little support from the fans. Why aspire for FBS to copy the FCS model and have...

Re: Appalachian State to CUSA?
While I respect your opinion Appa, I don't think you are looking at this move up as a whole for the university. Rather it seems you are only looking at this from a football only perspective. I agree with you that nothing beats a playoff system, however, you have to give some thought as to what this...

I can't believe the National Champions of this division play in such a crappy stadium. Half the stadium sits on a parking lot. Good Grief!

Re: Appalachian State to CUSA?
Only one Sunbelt team drew over 20K - ULM at 20,808 App's facilities are very strong - on par with most C-USA schools. For the one sport of football, sure. Not exactly the case for other sports like hoops. Have you ever been in our basketball arena, or our new baseball stadium, or new soccer stadiu...

Not hating on EWU, but Nova did give you a ton of help. Of course GSU gave UD a ton as well. Pitiful football by two teams in the Semis.

Re: ATTENTION APP STATE FANS
What did DJ do to hurt his chances those two games?
In two games he had 22 tackles, 1.5 TFL, 1 sack, and 2 QBH all while spending most of his time back at WLB in those games instead of MLB where he will play in the NFL.

Sounds like wishful thinking on your part, but it would make for a better conference than the SoCon.CAA Flagship wrote:App St, Georgia Southern, and Charlotte to CAA.

Re: Montana will be offered by WAC
So would you think that an expansion to 40K is all that would be needed? That doesn't sound too burdensome. I was thinking that once you move up (if you do), you might as well expand and get everybody in there you can. I haven't even looked at the numbers, but I would think 30-40K would put you in ...

Re: Diminishing Returns? JMU/Va Tech vs Appy/Mich
It was a bigger story because Michigan is one of the Top 5 programs of all time. Traditionally VT beating Michigan would be an upset itself much less an FCS team doing it. That may not have been the case the past 4 years, but over the course of college football history Michigan > VT. Having said tha...

Re: CAA's Best are Bowl-Worthy
I'm going to say that beating Michigan (VT for JMU) has done more for ASU than the NC's. If you go back and look at what recruits say about ASU every one of them mentions the win over Michigan. Some mention the NC's as well, but that is never the first thing out of their mouth. For the individual pl...

Looks like AE is starting get adjusted. He'll be just fine... "-- Slowly, rookie WR Armanti Edwards seems to be shaking some of his camp jitters. He had some rough practices early, but has the kind of football speed that doesn't always show up when they're in shorts. After a sharp break on an u...

Re: CCU to SoCon?
I wouldn't mind seeing Coastal in the SoCon IF they expand or a school leaves. No South Carolina State. Liberty in the FBS? Yeah right.... I don't think you should write off Liberty so quickly. If look at the number of students they have, the money coming into the school, the upgrades to their faci...

Re: New ASU Video
I don't think I mentioned anything about a championship, just deep playoff runs. The point is, Mr Magoo, that EVEN WITH AE, the farthest ASU could get was 3rd round, so without him you can expect a second round loss AT BEST. Ill even put money on it you cheap bastard. (btw) I can tell you wh...
