Re: UMass Picks Up 5 Mid-Year Transfers
They don't call you transfer U for nothing. :thumb: Coming from a Hens fan....that's funny...  :thumb: UMass has always been the CAA leader when it comes to taking transfers. Dating back to Whipple's teams in the late '90s, which were loaded with JC transfers, UMass has continued year ...

Re: Delaware's Championships
I understand why all the ASU fans would like to discard UD's 3 titles in the '70's. Appy played football then too, just not very well, as they went 52-53-1 in the '70's. Meanwhile Delaware went 94-23-1 with 3 championships. Guess you can't balme the Appy boys for trying to prtend that footbal...

Re: Delaware's Championships
UD's claim of 6 NC's is as valid as North Carolina claiming the 1924 NC in basketball....sure...great...can't dispute it, but not impressed...whatever makes you feel adequate... Maybe that's true, but by that standard UD's three titles in the 70's are certainly no more invalid or irrelevan...

Delaware's Championships
I know there are a lot of fans here (particularly SoCon) that resent the fact that UD fans tout the Hen's 6 national championships. Apparently those fans feel that any title won prior to the advent of FCS/I-AA football is fraudulent due to the fact that they were won vs inferior competition. Well th...

Re: Georgia Southern @ Delaware Official Semifinal Game Thre
Riddle me this, last week
Team A puts up 383 yrds of offense while giving up only 237 yrds of offense and wins by 13 points.
Team B registers only 246 yrds of offense while giving up 343 yrds and wins by 3 points.
and everyone says Team A was unimpressive, while Team B looked wonderful.

Where above, exactly, are you saying that? You're highlighted statement doesn't say one thing about playing tough defenses, just that our defense was paper-tissue thin. We beat 2 out fo three teams listed above (handily) & lost to the 3rd in overtime at their stadium by giving up a whopping 14 ...

Re: Villanova @ App State
Villanova was by far the better team. ASU hit Nova for two big plays totaling 120 yrds early on before the Nova defense settled in. Once VU's defense became acclimated ASU was done. ASU's defense was no match for the Nova power running game (285 yrds) while the ASU running game was completely shut d...

Re: Wofford outbid GSU?
I would assume that if UNH placed the minimum bid and GSU did not that UNH would by default host the semi final game. Can any of the GSU people confirm that there was or was not a GSU bid to host the semis?mcveyrl wrote:Wow. So does this mean they will travel to UNH if that scenario falls into place??

I think it's pretty obvious by now why the Eagles dumped Donovan McNabb and weren't the least bit concerned about trading him within their division. McNabb has been worse than mediocre, he's the 27th rated passer in the NFL with a woeful 76.0 QB rating. The one thing McNabb use to do well, protect t...

Right and if you have to fly an extra 500 miles isn't much of an additional cost factor.

Is this serious? WTF? Why would the Big East add a team from Texas to all sports?? How much will this cost schools on travel? :ohno: First to save their ass with the BCS. TCU football will greatly enhance their power rating and enure that the Big East keeps their BCS bowl bid. As to travel, if you ...

Re: What do yall think of the playoff bracket?
I would've LOVED for them to send UNH or Nova across the country to EWU for that second round game. If their players are only a fraction as arrogant as you are about the superiority of the CAA to the top teams in the BSC, they would be blown out after having to travel across 3 times zones. Ex...

As opposed to two Payton candidates who in 2010 have: 1) thrown 8 interceptions in 11 games (1 in every 50 attempts); 2) thrown 29 TD passes in 11 games (1 in every 14 attempts); and 3) accomplished an overall cumulative QB rating of 155. yea, but both those Payton candidates were able to 'pad' the...
