Re: Where are the Masks?

I have a friend who runs a ventilator factory in PA. Their production is being slowed because of supply chain issues getting parts from India.

Re: Warren's Conditions for Bailouts

under this ^ framework What's good for the goose scenario - a board should never ask for federal bailout money then ? because they chose to squander their available cash on stock manipulation schemes right..? Which airlines are best financially prepared to weather this storm? Why are they better pr...

Re: Should DOJ suspend Constitutional Rights?

You have a lot more faith in the conservative side than I do. Do I think the left would expand government and take away individual liberties to advance their causes? Absolutely. Do I think the right would do the same thing but for different causes? Absolutely. Conservatives in Washington give selec...

Re: Where's Biden?

I was thinking this crisis is the best thing that ever happened to Uncle Joe. The more he can hide from the public, the better his chances are. Yeah, he can just sit in the background, sniping in sound bites (which doesn’t come naturally to Bloviator Joe) at whatever Trump does about the crisis. Th...

Re: Coronavirus

No, seriously. We use schools for storm shelters all the time. Just wondering why we aren't using them for this. I would think a gym and locker room would be easy to disinfect when done. There must be some reason, I just haven't heard it yet. It just seems like a layup to use schools without admitt...

Re: Should DOJ suspend Constitutional Rights?

It would seem that a progressive regime would be more likely to suspend rights than a conservative one based upon the differences in their philosophies would it not? The left seems to love to project their tendencies on the right imo. Is it a co-incidence that the places in the US with the furthere...

Love how the DNC is keeping that incompetent douchebag hidden in the closet instead of trotting him out to be "presidential" during this made up media crisis. Have bourbon, ammo, dried food and a clear field of fire from my house. Coronavirus zombies stay away. Just curious if anyone has tried the George Dickel Bottled in Bond Whisky. I haven’t been able to get any yet. Wasn’t sure if it would be sharing or sipping whiskey. Sent from my iPhone using Tapa...

That’s a good thing. Vigilance is better than hysteria. But vigilance is still needed at this point and probably for the next year. Especially when you read stories like this. You don’t here about this happening with the flu. https://www.kuow.org/stories/the-days-leading-up-to-the-outbreak-at-life-...

I guess the socialist lumberjacks stayed home. The lumberjacks aren't socialists. Looking at the map......it looks like blue collar rural and uppity coastal elites (afraid that Bernie would steal their wealth) united to defeat Bernie. :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy: https://www.pressherald.com/...

Which threatens the republic more?

A Bernie win with Republicans keeping the senate or.... A Trump win but Dems pick up both houses? What threatens the Republic right now is the Republican Party. Or, more precisely, what threatens the Republic is the set of nut jobs that currently comprises the Republican base. And the Republican po...

Not really loyal to Trump. He is a despicable human being, but his actions as President by and large are undoing some of the harm done by President “I don’t need Congress I have a phone and a pen”. That statement is what you would expect from a dictator.

Classic. Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it. Try critically thinking for yourself vs spouting your sad, worn out slogans.

This. The donks have given in to the far left/Marxists, and anyone expecting some kind of "normalcy" from their governance is an idiot. As opposed to the Conks given in to the far right/Fascists? Because that is who is in charge in DC now, an authoritarian fascist unchecked by a spineless Senate. R...

Worst case Bernie and Dem Congress. Next worse any Dem Pres and Dem Congress followed by Trump and Dem Congress.

Notice the common denominator here?

What Virginia is going thru now with the clown show in Richmond would pale in comparison.

Re: Bloomberg Prediction

If the Democrats go to a second convention ballot and the super delegates deny Bernie again, would the Bern pull out and run as an independent? I’m thinking with the acrimony we saw in this week’s debate that the 3 way race possibilities are rising. Most likely the Bern, the Bloom and Orange Man. Ha...

Re: Democratic Socialism...the New Capitalism

I don’t see a whole lot of similarities between Sanders programs and those of FDR, other than government sponsorship. The focus is entirely different. Much of what FDR started is still with us in our current system and makes it what it is today. Much of what Sanders wants is to tear down that system...
