Re: Thank you coal!
What green new deal misses is as much as what it advocates. An intermediate step of substituting natural gas for coal and re-invigorating nuclear energy is the step that would greatly improve the environment without even more economic disruption. Also, global air pollution is generated 85+% off shor...

Re: Thank you coal!
How do you propose to address the economic inequities that will be created for those who support their families by working in these industries or fund their retirement by investing in them? We'll have to invest in re-educating them into other careers, whatever their choice is. It's also why we shou...

Re: Thank you coal!
Don't disagree, very tough to implement. I think if enough people are won over though, and it's what people democratically vote for, it should be implemented. The US has an issue where corporations - not people - are making the calls right now...energy policy including. Way too many people are blis...

That must be one hell of an engineering degree you have. You’re like an expert on EVERYTHING.  No, but I like to read about the Green New Deal, how it'll be paid for, and economics in general. It shapes how I view things. Implementation of utopian ideas such as the green new deal have ne...

Fascism is tying up the Congress with a circus to distract the public in order to enable the President to rule through fiat outside of our legislative process while keeping a non existent insurection at bay with unnecessary troops and barriers.

Re: What to do with Trump between now and when Biden takes over
We need to ignore and forget Trump. That is what will really hurt him. The focus now should be on reconciliation. Impeachment will only widen the gulf. Inauguration of Biden and reaching across the aisle to reasonable conks will go s long way. At this point two groups that feel disenfranchised BLM’e...

Re: RCP Average Performance Update
There are currently 2 House elections won by Republicans where the Democrats are trying to overturn the results. Should they move along as well, or is that somehow different?

 https://twitter.com/stillgray/status/1328081246417678336?s=20 Doesn't change the fact that you have to be a complete idiot to be a Trump supporter and we would be better off if, tomorrow morning, every Trump supporter evaporated into the ether so that the rest of us could get on with normal l...

Re: Good and Bad news from Exit Polling
Those who can, do. Those who can’t, teach. The higher the level of educational attainment, the longer the indoctrination period by those who cannot do, but instead teach. Thus the more the left leaning bias of the more educated progressives who have more exposure to those who can’t do and must rely ...

Re: 2020 General Election
It would seem that the 2016 Presidential election had way less interference than the 2020 election. So I’m not sure that Biden will be quite as legitimate as Trump was, when he takes office.

Meanwhile thousands packed at the edge of the rally location, even knowing they couldn't get in. What a bunch of idiots. I don't know if Trump will win or lose this time. But I do know the handwriting is on the wall for the Republican Party in the long term. And once the Republican Party is out of ...

First scotus conservative majority in 80+ years. No packing necessary. Unhinged libretards going apeshite at the thought that they might actually have to depend on Congress to legislate rather than just have court and bureaucrats make shite up.

Re: Why I'm holding my nose and voting for Trump...
I'm a life long registered D. I've voted 3rd party for POTUS starting in 2012 and actually spent time deciding who to vote for on state and local elections. I'll be voting down ballot R for the first time in my life this time around with little to no research on the candidates themselves. The D's w...

Decided to vote in person when in the county seat as there wasn’t a line. 20% of registered voters have voted in person and another 10% by mail already here. Should be pretty vacant by Election Day.

I can’t stand the egotistical a$$wipe. He delivered over and over until China unleashed the plague and the Dims decided that the only way to combat it was to hide out for years wrecking the economy. They then started burning leftist cities down and threatening more to come if they didn’t get their w...

Trump Selects Amy Coney Barrett for SCOTUS
If only all justices were so intelligent and poised. Obviously her integrity rises to a higher standard than many of those questioning hers. Applying the law equally to all seems to be her objective. Not sure why that’s a problem.

I think you Trump people are grasping at straws with this Court packing thing. If I were Biden I'd just say "yes we'll consider that." There aren't a whole lot of people who are going to vote against Democrats because they're worried about increasing the size of the Supreme Court. It’s a ...

Most lame presidential challenger?
McGovern and Dukakis don’t qualify, but they were both extremely lame.
Biden edges out Mondale on your list.
Romney was extraordinary well qualified, but way too moderate to win.
