Re: Zach Zenner and the Payton Award
I figured as much. I don't know how 2000 yards isn't "flashy enough", but I believe you are correct in your statements. That's really too bad, it's a pretty amazing accomplishment if he does it. Unfortunately we play a D3 school this year(don't get me started), I assume he will get some p...

Zach Zenner and the Payton Award
My question is: Do/Can/Will the Walter Payton Award voters take into effect past year's performances? If ZZ runs for another 2000 yards this year (I think it makes him the first player at the FCS level to do it 3 years in a row) shouldn't he be a shoe-in for the award? It's not all important for him...

Re: Cap'n Cat's Missouri Valley Prediction for 2014
Am I suppose to answer this in a serious manner? Although it did make me laugh I would say UNI, NDSU and SDSU all make the playoffs. SDSU has one worrisome stupid non-FCS counter which they couldn't help in scheduling, it could screw us pretty hard in the end. Until someone beats the champ, they sta...

Re: SDSU @ EWU
It most certainly is in an unbalanced conference where teams don't play everyone. NAU belonged in the play-in game...they were there for a reason. Don't get too puffed up because you beat them...they basically looked at beating Montana as their super bowl, and essentially mailed it in for the rest ...

Re: Ranking the Remaining Playoff Teams
Sorry but I just can't rank SELA ahead of SDSU, we won in a head-to-head matchup. Southeastern Louisiana was playing on the road, was -5 in turnover margin, and lost by 8 points. To be in the game at all with a -5 turnover margin is something else. If two teams are evenly matched and one is -5 you'...

Re: Ranking the Remaining Playoff Teams
I would also have to figure out with SELA beating Sam Houston State. I'd almost have to put
SELA
EWU
SDSU
SHSU
in a tie. I do think they all are pretty evenly matched. Well fuck it, we'll find out more on Saturday!

Re: SDSU @ EWU
So you guys are betting the farm on Zack Zenner. A no name rb on a team with 4 losses. Gotcha. And somehow you guys equate NAU with EWU. They have nothing to do with each other. All you need to know is EWU has the Walter Payton award winner and freshman of the year. And a 3 time all american DB. I'...

Re: SDSU @ EWU
Zenner only running 8 times would be like Vernon Adams only throwing 8 passes for Eastern. It just seems like that would never happen in a close game where the player was healthy. it is an interesting point. It was the week after Nebraska. There were hints that ZZ was pulled off Nebraska, not only ...

Re: SDSU @ EWU
Curious, did Zenner go on vacation the week of the North Dakota State game? Am I reading the stat line right? 8 carries, 4 yards? What the hell happened there? 124 total yards? Talk about a bad game to totally flame out. Hence the aforementioned posts where I have alluded that you (and nobody else ...
