Re: SC State @ Georgia Southern
Thank goodness GSU got them, for this is usually the level of team the CAA gets in the first round. I didn't realize App State was in the CAA the last two years. Seeded JMU getting Wofford in '08 and Seeded Richmond getting Elon last year wasn't exactly doing them favors. Let's face it, everyone wa...

Ball State might be ranked behind 44 FCS teams this year, but SC State isn't one of them.

COACH OF THE YEAR Joe Trainer, Rhode Island, Two Seasons :thumb: No arguments here! He pretty much worked a miracle this season. None here either, though I wonder how Latrell Scott fared and if the final game stinker affected the vote. UR was picked by some to finish 9th of 10 teams before all of t...

Re: Sagarin - End of Regular Season FCS Ratings
Not that I give a $#!+ about Sagarin, but I do find it odd that Richmond lost to #1 #2 #3 and #6, and is ranked below three teams they beat who all have identical 6-5 records: #14, #17, #22.

So, there really are quality losses. What do you think makes the CAA so great? JMU could of made the playoffs at 6-5 and NO ONE would of had a problem with it. Another ridiculous strawman post. I would have a huge problem with it, as would many of the JMU fans on this board. 6-5 is a li...

I also don't understand the reluctance to play AE. It's almost as though Fox has conceded defeat -- too bad, I think he's a good coach.
But on another note, congrats to Josh Vaughn on his first NFL TD! I'm sure both Flacco and AE remember that guy.

Re: Is this the year...?
Several of these teams could drop out of the top 25 with losses. Doubtful given the level of competition they are playing. But we can't assume this week's top 25 will look like next week's. I think if all of these teams are at 6 wins, SC State and Jacksonville will get the bids. IMO, strength of sch...

I haven't paid attention to the polls, but I know that in the game notes JMU @ UR JMU was #22 and UR #20 in whatever the heck poll the game notes was quoting. Now if #22 is @ #20 and IF the polls are correct then #22 should should lose a close one (esp considering that on the road is -4.5). That is...

Re: In what order would the bubble teams get AL bids?
I just put the four possible 7-4 CAA teams in a "mini-conference." Here are the standings (this, of course, assumes that UR wins): William and Mary - 2-1 (tops by virtue of their win against UNH) UNH - 2-1 Villanova 1-2 (third by virtue of their win against UR) UR 1-2 What does this mean?...

Re: In what order would the bubble teams get AL bids?
I want to know why W&M isn't on this list. After all, if UR goes 7-4, W&M must go 7-4. Because they're not a bubble team...they're already in. So finishing 7-4 by dropping 3 of your last 4 is a lock, but finishing 7-4 by winning your last 3 is a bubble team? I'm not trying to be difficult -...

Re: Who will be the five playoff seeds II
It should be real interesting in who they choose to give the seed to, or who they give a higher seed to (I could see both EWU and MSU getting a seed if both win this weekend). This is the way I see it. http://s3.postimage.org/2dxj2s96s/EWU_MSU.jpg Richmond has six wins. Please post a picture of you...

2. Richmond (7-4 with a win this week) <-played tough OOC schedule, only CAA south team among possible playoff CAA south teams that had to play Rhody, UNH, and UMass from the north W&M played all three as well, plus Maine. I want to know why W&M isn't on this list. After all, if UR goes 7-4...

Re: Who will be the five playoff seeds II
It's very rare for a 3-loss team to get a seed. I know there's more parity now, but I think there will be enough teams with 2 or fewer losses that an 8-3 W&M gets a bye, not a seed.

Um, until this weekend they had a losing record against D-1 competition. Some people don't like to rank teams with losing records. That's funny, because there are definitely times in the season when teams with losing records are ranked, specifically early on in the season. (Which is why it makes no...

Richmond and James Madison were both 4-4 and ranked in the Coaches Poll last week. Why?
