Re: The Trump Whistleblower Extravaganza Thread

Pat Cippilone's legal strategy is pretty clear at this point. His letter makes the argument the failure to hold an authorization vote before conducting an impeachment investigation invalidates the process. When the House's impeachment charges reach the Senate, he will make a motion to dismiss the ch...

Agreed. Yankees' best case scenario now is Astros win Game 5 v. Rays. JJ working those analytics.... Got my wife all confused this morning. She fell asleep before the game ended. Re: ALDS

Yep. The Yankees gotta be real happy with the way thing are shaping up. At this point, the Rays pose a greater danger to the Yankees from a pitching standpoint. Way more arms than the Astros. Two weeks ago the Yankees only scored 1 run in 2 games (21 innings) against the Rays. Agreed. Yankees' best...

Re: Impeachment Poll

If I was king for a day, I would have Trump resign and Kasich run in 2020. No. We need someone that will keep the pedal to the metal. In baseball terms, Kasich is a singles hitter and an average fielder. We need someone with home run power and cat-like quickness in the field. Someone like...... htt...

Re: Trump announces Brett Kavanaugh as his 2nd SCOTUS nominee.

I guess the latest hit piece on Kavanaugh backfired even worse than could be anticipated. Not only does it turn out that the offered victim says she can't remember being a victim of the described conduct -- but a little more digging uncovers that Leyland Kesyser -- Christine Blasey Ford's so-called ...

The Taliban were easy to fight when they controlled all of Afghanistan. We deposed them in no time and inflicted massive casualties on them. It was when those remaining went into hiding and disappeared into the civilian populations in their strongholds that the Taliban became a menace. I think we sh...

You really don't want liberal judges that high in the food chain... at the bottom Liberal judges are super helpful at the top - not so much  There's a lot of truth in what you say. In the lower courts, it's fine to have judges who are willing to work with the edges of precedent to find equitab...

Re: Women's World Cup

I have a hunch, based on absolutely nothing but my gut, that the UK will beat the US tomorrow. And it will serve them right. The only likeable woman on this US team is Alex Morgan. I've met Tobin Heath and she's really a great young lady. One of my son's coaches trained her when she was a teenager....
