Re: Finalists named for UNC head coaching job
Logan would be an interesting pick. He definitely has the connections to bring in some talent. He is a classy guy who knows the game and knows how to evaluate talent.

Re: NDSU BISON*@Missouri State
If MSU can get up early NDSU will be in trouble. They have no offense outside of McNorton and I doubt they are capable of playing from behind against a good offense that can score quickly, see MSU, WIU, UNI. Had SDSU been able to keep a healthy Minett on the field, even with O'brien giving up the b...

Re: NDSU BISON*@Missouri State
So what you’re saying is that NDSU wouldn't play well against say an option team. So if UNI played them near the end of the season they would have beaten them worse. From what I am reading I would favor a matchup with NDSU if I was SEMO. I hope the Committee pairs us. They can come down to Cape Gir...

Re: Big Sky Expansion
No its not. Havent you been reading siouxsports.com? Right now the BSC is the best thing in college athletics and they just make it better. A couple fans are saying its a good fit until they make the FBS move in a couple years. Get ready for another 180 from them. Its going to go from the BSC is th...

Re: NDSU clearly owns the MVFC
FYI, I promise we (SDSU) will never quit the series in a hissy fit. I think most Jackrabbit fans really like our rivalry with the Bison. Lakes though... Thats nice and all, but you are in the same conference, so there's not an option. ;) There will be an option after they move up to a lower level F...

Re: Big Sky Expansion
You can't be serious................. There is no way that the DAC is even remotely close to the RMAC............... quote] To a certain extent I was kidding. But have you ever watched Western State, Adams State, NM Highlands or Ft. Lewis play? Yes Mesa, Chadron and Kearney (and some years Mines) c...

Re: Big Sky Expansion
Hey, I think Montana is a gonner. Unless, in this economic climate, their legislature stops it. You are probably right, I would just hate to see the Big Sky take a lesser school like Mines. The conference is to solid to go after a school that weak. If it is a travel cost issue (which I think is mos...

Re: TSN Poll Voters Exposed
Actually, I think pure stupidity. I'll take any of the bottom three finishers in the MVFC at the end of this year and match them up with a rated school from (name the weak conference) and give you 14. You could say that every year...so what is your point? I believe my point was in reference ...

Re: Big Sky Expansion
Who said I was "comparing" Mines to UNC? All I said was that they would be a good geographic fit for the Sky given its proximity to UNC. Teams coming in for hoops games could save money by using the same hotel for both games. For ANY sport, fly into Denver and get a hotel THERE. Short bus...

Re: Big Sky Expansion
#20 Colorado School of Mines (6-1). Yeah, the RMAC is weak. But they're pretty much dominating it and looking to get a good playoff spot. Six-game winning streak isn't bad. They're looking to win out, too. Let's just invite the DAC teams from NAIA. Screw the Frontier Conference we'll take 'em all. ...

Rich Radford's ballot this week: The Sports Network is now running the names of all of its poll participants. Of course, if you read this blog for a while now you know I vote ... and I reveal my votes every week. Here's how I voted this week: 1. Delaware 2. Appalachian State 3. Jacksonville State 4...

Re: Big Sky Expansion
NAU is going to be shafted no matter what the Sky does short of calling up Western New Mexico. For me, the best deal is to pair UNC with Mines and NAU with the Horseys. You are kidding right? Do you know anything about Mines? Very small, incredibly harsh academics, they play on a HS field which mos...

Re: 2010 MVFC Standings
Yep, Kansas sure is a power this year aren't they. That 55-7 loss to Baylor must be what is making them that Big 12 power  . As for SDSU "clinging" to the SIU win; since you haven't played SIU yet this year how about we talk about WIU. Didn't the Bison get beat by the Necks? I'm comf...

Re: 2010 MVFC Standings
At this point in time SDSU is clinging to what might prove to be simply a "lucky" win. After all, the SIU fans have assured everyone they were suffering with a rash of injuries and were unable to field their most competitive team. NDSU, on the other hand, is carrying the banner for the en...

Re: 2010 MVFC Standings
The ending that I have seen and presented above is not a guarantee and should not be taken as one. It is only one possible outcome in a universe of many possible outcomes. When you have a football team as close to success as The NDSU BISON, hopes run high and the search for the missing ingrediant i...
