Re: New Gardner-Webb Head Coach
I never said that "ALL" women are whiny - I just said that that particular one was whiny. There are many women out there that are just as much football fans as men are and can hold their own discussing such topics. I just don't like to see people slamming others on this site - especially w...

Re: New Gardner-Webb Head Coach
Elcid, I hope that Longtimegwufan will take you up on your offer to join your tailgating. Please work on her attitude while you are at it. Yes, I said she, because from the posts it sure sounds like a female whiner. Come on people, let's get over it! Football season is coming and I can't wait! Go da...

I totally agree g-webb1994.g-webb1994 wrote:How long has longtime been at or involved with G-W? Just curious.....my handle pretty much tips off my date.
Throwing off on a players parent (elcid) like a four year old isn't impressive by the way.

Re: New Gardner-Webb Head Coach
Bless you all and Coach Dickerson. Just bless...if you only knew Longtimegwufan, I was just wondering.... What do you mean by "if you only knew". Do you know anymore than the rest of us? You appear to be upset about something. Your posts have presented a sense of bitterness or resentment....

Re: New Gardner-Webb Head Coach
I love to see the passion that has been shown on this site! I hope when football season begins that the same passion shown here will show up at the games. Let's pack the stands for our players and our coaches and show them the support that they so deserve! I plan on doing more tailgating this year a...

Re: New Gardner-Webb Head Coach
I believe that RD will do a great job as well elcid83. His bio is impressive and he appears to be someone that would care about the players both on the field and off. I especially was impressed with the organization that he had begun for youth (R.U.N.T.) - Recognizing Undeveloped Natural Talents, a ...

Re: New Gardner-Webb Head Coach
Elcid83, Dickerson was let go from Old Miss long before he interviewed for the GW HC position. He is still in the running, but the announcement that Old Miss is looking for a WR coach doesn't really tell us anything.

Re: New Gardner-Webb Head Coach
Come on guys! Let's keep it real. Quit the bashing (players and coaches). I know everyone is on edge and anxiously waiting for an answer, but we do need to be careful about what we post. Gardner-Webb is an awesome school with some awesome student athletes and staff. Change does not always come easy,...

Re: New Gardner-Webb Head Coach
Everyone is anxious to hear the results of the search. I, personally, hope that Reich is not the choice, if, as rumor has it, that he plans on bringing all of his own staff and not retain anyone from GW. What a mistake that would be!! Some NFL experience would be a benefit to our student athletes, I...

Re: New Gardner-Webb Head Coach
Whomever is named as the head coach has a very daunting task. I just hope he has enough sense about him to not get rid of the entire staff! The student athletes as well as the program itself needs some consistency. GW has some very capable assistant coaches. The new HC needs to look very carefully a...

Re: New Gardner-Webb Head Coach
The criteria for the HC sounds awesome. It is nice to know that GW is looking for only the best. Money is important in the mix; however, I don't believe that is the most important thing. I am sure that all of these guys know what the salary will entail, but yet they are still interested in the posit...

Re: Patton out at Gard-Webb?
Whatever the outcome of the HC search, I just pray that he will take a genuine interest in the students. Football is important (I am its biggest fan); however, the students at GW need to know that the HC truly cares about them as students and not just as athletes. Whomever the new person might be ne...

Re: Patton out at Gard-Webb?
A special thanks to Coach Patton for stopping by to make a visit after my son went into the recovery room. I know that was something that he did not have to do, especially with all that was going on with him. That meant a lot to my son and I that he would do that. We really appreciate his visit!

Re: Patton out at Gard-Webb?
By the way, my son's coach (Chris Foster) also came and sat with my friend and I while we waited during my son's surgery. I had not had a chance to talk with him other than for a quick moment on the field. He really impressed me. He truly has a genuine concern for his players, not only in football, ...

Re: Patton out at Gard-Webb?
Wanted to give a shout out to the awesome trainer at Gardner-Webb (Kevin Jones). I am a parent of a player that was injured during a game this season and had to have surgery. Kevin took care of all the details and even stayed with us at the hospital until my son got settled in for surgery. He also t...

Re: Patton out at Gard-Webb?
Granted there may be other assistants that are as deserving, I just may not have met them, but from the looks of it on the field - there are some that Gardner Webb can also do without. I, too, am anxious to see who they name as the head coach and see who stays and who goes. I just hope that the head...

Re: Patton out at Gard-Webb?
Gardner-Webb obviously needs to make some changes to their football program. They have some very young talented students that deserve the very best coaches. Being present at most of the games, both home and away, I was able to see some good and some bad. I want to voice my support for the Foster bro...
