Re: Showdown In Wisconsin

Man dawg, you are really reaching with the VaTech thing. Thats like saying people working in high rises should be fearing for thier lives because of 9/11 like that was something that occurs all the time. And the good Col is correct. Its not about busting unions. Its about the fact that the teachers...

Re: Showdown In Wisconsin

Nice use of history at deflection, dawg...when was the last time a teacher was burned to death in the classroom...please tell us about all the parks department workers maimed using weed wackers... This is about one thing and one thing only...keeping the nest feathered at the expense of the tax payi...

Re: Showdown In Wisconsin

I work with a Fortune 500 company that implements strict safety guidelines, implements the 4 day 10 hour workweek, promotes telecommuting and pays well. Yes, raises and bonuses aren't as nice as they were 4 years ago, but salary increases have occured. Insurance has risen slightly. Tell me, why wou...

Re: Showdown In Wisconsin

Labor laws have been implemented throughout the decades that combat the problems that were the early target for unions. Low pay, unsafe conditions, the work week, all are regulated. I see no reason why unions need to exist. They aren't striking because of unsafe conditions or because 9 year olds ar...

Re: Showdown In Wisconsin

As if busting all the unions would make a difference? The prima donnas (who average $100K in compensation per year) would still be in the streets whining about having to pay their own way instead of hitching a ride on the backs of the taxpayers. :coffee: 1. State employees "averaging" 100...

Re: somebody explain to me how high corporate taxes...

First of all.. Let's be clear: Corporations Do Not Pay Taxes; Consumers Pay Taxes Corporations collect taxes… Consumers pay the cost of that “collection” and the cost of the IRS ($300 Billion) Let's: 1.Repeal the 16th Amendment to the U.S Constitution 2.Pass HR25,S296 FairTax / Consumption tax. 3.C...

Re: 2011 Citadel Bulldogs

Good schedule with 2 winnable OOC games and one money gave that doesn't interfere with SoCon schedule. 6 home games is good too. In the past, for example Wisconsin, we have shown that we can handle a FBS team. However, USC had a great season last year and is set for a better one. I will not be a tr...

Re: House votes to defund ObamaCare

More wasted time by the GOP. Both political parties waste time. What did the democrats do while GW was getting us into an unneccessary war? What were they doing to help returning vets? What were they doing to help low income homeowners and the elderly when JP Morgan and BoA were unlawfully foreclos...

Re: 2011 Baseball Thread

We held our Blue/White game on Sunday. It wasn't too bad, good to see the team out there. Today is a doubleheadre against the Towson Tigers today at noon and then G-Webb at 4pm. I'm not sure of the score of the first game. I might be heading to the CSU game tomorrow. A freind of mine has a younger b...
