Re: Philosophy of D-II Scheduling
I was thinking more along the lines of not scheduling a passing leader in D2 (SOU) while knowing your secondary is total dog ****…you know, use some common sense. I don’t follow D2 so I wouldn’t know the difference, which plays into the point of why bother risking a loss by playing a top notch D2 o...

Re: Colorado State Pueblo Pistol Whipping Sam Houston State
North Alabama knocked off FBS Southwestern Louisiana (Louisiana-Lafayette) in 1997, 48-42. Should have moved up long ago but stayed D2 to continue to host the D2 National Championship Game and Harlon Hill Award Ceremony.

Since about 80% of the players are broke by the time they've been out of the NFL for 2 years, they had to come up with some other way to get money instead of, God forbid, working.

Re: Colorado State Pueblo Pistol Whipping Sam Houston State
Three years in a row, North Alabama would have competed for the FCS crown but only got one chance to prove it. They lost by a field goal at Youngstown State who won back to back championships at that time. We have a powerful team this season with only 4 senior starters. We may not win three in a row...

Ivey had two fine seasons for the University of North Alabama. He played hard and the fans appreciated him.We had a great 1-2 punch with Ivey and Wes Holland who had transferred in from Navy.

North Alabama vs Abilene Christian at the Palace in Dallas
This is shaping up to be a big day in Big D (just outside of Big D) with the battle between #3 and #4 as the headliner. It will be televised in north Alabama at 4:00 Central on WHDF in Huntsville. Should be a great one.

Well I guess all that will have to wait. In the meantime, Thursday night will NOT be a pleasant night for Central Oklahoma! I'm sure the Lions are starving for some red meat after a long diet!

We were a destination musically. The Rolling Stones, Rod Stewart, Aretha Franklin, Bob Seger, Glenn Frey, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Paul Simon, Bob Dylan to name a few used to make the journey to record here. Now we are known mostly for having a great song writing community who write hit songs for everyone fr...

I know UNA isn't in FCS but some services already list Janoris Jenkins as an FCS player. Publicity for the division never hurts.

If they get stripped of 1994 wins, that means North Alabama would have had a winning streak of 42 games! The only game we lost in '93, '94 and '95 was by a field goal in Youngstown in '94.

Janoris Jenkins is ready to explode. I've heard a lot about him being a good teammate. He has that one problem that, let's face it, so so many others have. Sometimes it takes a swift kick in the seat to wake people up to what's at stake. Here's hoping he got just that from Florida. http://www.timesd...

Probably should have left room for Marcus Dowtin too.

I have just one question: Has Jacksonville State been a drag on the OVC? Remember, they were a crummy little D2 school at one time too.
