Re: SWAC Question

Given that Jackson State won the SWAC (with its inherent berth in the Celebration Bowl against MEAC Champ SC State) and SWAC #2 Florida A&M earned a playoff berth, is the question that the SWAC CHAMP is required to go to the Celebration Bowl, or that SOME SWAC team must go? Could Jackson State ...

What a lot of people didn't realize is we got a lot of talent because they grew up watching our games and they wanted to play in the SWAC. I think there were around 24000 at Wa-Griz today. A good days work. The SWAC usually leads the FCS in crowd attendance but for the wrong reasons the bands at halftime. Not true at all the bands will usually do their own thing apart from the football games, ours had there own today (10/27/2019) if yo...

McNeese has had attendance issues recently. Unfortunately they also haven't had a lot of playoff games recently. But I wasn't talking about SWAC championship game attendance. I was talking about Celebration Bowl attendance. If you watched the three Celebration Bowls so far it's pretty obvious that ...

Re: It's not the HBCU "National Championship"

Ticket prices were much higher than in the past, the lease expensive ticket was $60. Thank you. Hopefully they adjust to the marketplace for next year. You really need a ~$25 option somewhere in the stadium for families of four to manage costs to watch an FCS game. When you normally pay between $10...

Re: It's not the HBCU "National Championship"

Well there is always next yr!!!! I wasn't trying to be an asshole like I normally am. I was just wandering why the sharp attendance drop. Did they change a tailgating policy, raise ticket prices, count attendance differently (paid, versus distributed), etc? Ticket prices were much higher than in th...

Re: FCS football: The 10 best stadiums to visit

Southern was outside of the top 10 last season because Baton Rouge flooded two weeks before the start of the season Jackson State was #4 and its a chance the could finish #1 in 2017 I think these ratings involve factors other than just attendance. I've never been to the Southern tailgating scene bu...

Re: FCS football: The 10 best stadiums to visit

I think the SWAC got left out because it's in its own little world. And because they really don't have many big home games. Their big attendance numbers come from "Classics". Last year Grambling played 3 games at home. Southern was outside of the top 10 last season because Baton Rouge flo...
