Re: NDSU to host Chuck South in FCS Kickoff Game
Great point. Midseason we'd have a better shot. Their coaching staff is just too good to be surprised. That's a massive part of their success. I haven't seen them be out game planned before. Honestly outside of maybe one or two games since we went FCS, SDSU has had circles coached around them most ...

Re: IT'S ON! Official Charleston Southern @ N Dakota St thread!
Chuck South has 63 scholarships, the same as NDSU. Equal footing IMO. 100% true. Never argued otherwise. I wasn't the person who brought "Southern Speed" into this BTW. And I have nothing but total respect for NDSU. Yall are 5x defending champs. Clearly the #1 team and program in F...

Re: IT'S ON! Official Charleston Southern @ N Dakota St thread!
NDSU is only playing FCS schools with "Southern Speed", that's what I'm talking about. ;) Yeah. I see what you're saying. All I'm saying is you guys may be FCS but you are the premiere state run school up there. Same with Montana and Idaho. FCS down here are not the primary state schools....

Re: IT'S ON! Official Charleston Southern @ N Dakota St thread!
I think you probably right. Size isn't everything but in big boy ball we can wear teams down if we stay on the field for 6 to 7 minute drives. If your Dline is quick and causes some trouble, gets off the field then you will keep them fresh. Sounds like this environment, they might enjoy, maybe feed...

Re: IT'S ON! Official Charleston Southern @ N Dakota St thread!
Looking forward to starting the year at home this year. I like watching option teams so this game will be fun to watch....CSU's version of the option. Personally, I think CSU is going to get steamrolled in this game. Their defense is undersized and that is a recipe for disaster with it being their f...

Re: When will the streak end?
The 5 losses in the last five years, 3 have been at home to conference teams. The '16 Bison teams will have 8 back on defense and 5-6 back on offense if you count Stick....8-0 as a starter. Iowa will be a great game for the Bison. They have a lot of players coming back. UNI and NDSU will be the favo...

Re: 2015 National Championship - NDSU vs Jacksonville St
Pleasantly surprised the Bison are on a drive for 5. Before the season, it looked like a rebuilding year, and even more like that, after the Montana game. Defense lost 9-10 starters from last year. Looks like the youngsters have improved since that first game. Still not a dominating Bison team as t...

Re: North Dakota State vs Richmond
UNI may have been somewhat one dimensional but they had rushed 323 yards in their first playoff game and 401 in their second. The first game was Eastern Illinois so "meh" but Portland State was a good team. North Dakota State held Northern Iowa to 120 rushing yards. They've kind of gotten...

Where was that EWU defense in 11, 12,13,14? That was my point. NDSU fans...winning with grace since 2011. :dunce: Your usual redundant comeback.... :dunce: Your own coaches in the conference said they need to get better and referenced NDSU and defense. A pretty damn good Ill State team put up 27 po...

Re: Is the Fourpeat bad for I-AA?
No. 5-peat is possible for the '15 Bison squad. See, that's kind of the point. Not only is it possible, I'd say it's probable. And that's the problem. Even when graduating their defense, no one else is expected to snatch the crown away? Doesn't speak highly of FCS. Is it NDSU's fault that they have...

Re: Is the Fourpeat bad for I-AA?
No. Other teams need to raise their game. 5-peat is possible for the '15 Bison squad. Best O-lineman is returning so the Bison will have all starters back. The O-line will dominate next year. Looking at the schedule, there is not one team that will be favored over the Bison IMO. 3 Big Sky teams for ...

That is what you are going with? Using the word so.
Yes, the spread teams that the Bison have played use the deep ball. Word used correctly along with my statement.

Then Emanuel and everyone else must step their game if they are to make it 4 in a row.Neither team has a decent passing attack to speak of SHSU barely averages 200 plus yds a game and NDSU brings back thoughts of Nebraska in the 70s when it comes to throwing the ball.A surprise bomb might win it fo...
