Re: What the FBS could learn.

It can always be better; always. There's a committee that picks the playoff bound teams, let them do the rankings. If there qualified to say who gets in, they're qualified to rank the teams. I understand you being protective, and it is a much better system that the Bowls; but flawless it is not. agr...

Re: What the FBS could learn.

Here's the fair question, would the FCS playoffs be better if the best 20 teams got in or not? Because under this current model, it is not the 20 best teams. For my money, if we ever do get a playoff system, I don't want to see the MAC conference champ get in and be destrpyed when some more deservi...

Re: What the FBS could learn.

I can only comment on the teams that are currently in the MEAC now. I really don't know the conference well. However, the last time an MEAC team won a playoff game was 1999. Had you bought a dog the very same day they won a playoff game; most likely it would be dead. There's something wrong there. E...

Re: What the FBS could learn.

Are problem isn't knowing who are the top ten teams in the nation, or even the top fifteen. Our problem is finding as fair way to gage who plays for the National Championship. Those top ten teams were legit. And we do have teams that don't deserve to be in big bowl get in. Look at the 2011 Fiesta Bo...

What the FBS could learn.

I like being an outsider. You don't have a team so you don't have a side, there aren't any attachments. It's liberating. It is painfully obvious what the FBS is missing that FCS, D2, and D3 have. The spirit of athletics, at least for the team sports, is to see who is the best. That only happens with...

Re: THE CAA IS DEAD

No sir, I believe you don't get it. While dropping the L and the G in Flagg was just so incredibly clever; I'm more interested in whether or not you think it's wrong to be homosexual. Just curious. But man, did you stick it to me. WOW. You sure got me. :dunce: If you ever read anything on th...

Re: THE CAA IS DEAD

Why hello little black birdie seems like I struck a nerve. You'll have to accept my apologies. I didn;'t know that simply saying 'it was it is,' makes it all better. Hell then my last post, 'it is what it is.' I'm sorry. :D Sure do wish the president was more concerned with other more pressing issu...

I don't follow, would that be bad if I was? You still don't get it. No sir, I believe you don't get it. Re: FCS Commitments from Georgia High Schools

why this state? For the simple reason that Georgia kids have played a disproportionately prominent role in championship programs over the years in this division, and I'm not talking just about GSU. Guys like Eric Ward, all the Atlanta area players on App and Furman, etc... a lot of great players in...

Re: THE CAA IS DEAD

Don't go there BF. Hens fans have been remarkably good about not bringing that play up and the Hens should have still been able to hang on without that call, but please don't pretend he made the first down. :tothehand: You can argue that he didn't make it and I can argue that he did all we want, an...

Re: THE CAA IS DEAD

Little black birdie is mad about the playoffs. I like playoffs, think now that we are free and clear and with our QB back, we might do well in the playoffs. But don't pretend this is flawless. And I suppose DIII is bogus as well, what with Mount Union and Whitewater making it every year.

Re: THE CAA IS DEAD

whos your team guy? Me...Oh I'm a USC guy, but had some friends from FCS yammering in my ear day and night about their Playoff system. And I'm a football fan, so I watched, read the boards and I can tell you this. We may not have a playoff system, but our Championship games, they have the proper cr...

Re: THE CAA IS DEAD

Well, if KC had just substituted for me a few times in the first half, I doubt if I would have given up 20 in the second half. Your team got punked by a guy in his 40s for three quarters. Takes a little luster off EWU's win, doesn't it? No. 2010 Nation Champs ya chumps :coffee: The CAA makes me dro...
