Re: Congrats Liberty/CCU; Big South & Liberty got HOSED
Thanks for thinking of us, bucs90. But we Liberty folks have no one to blame but ourselves. We let big late at ODU and at home vs. Coastal and fell in overtimes in both games. We led into the final minutes at Kent State as well. If we make just one more play in any of those three games we wouldnt b...

Re: Congrats Liberty/CCU; Big South & Liberty got HOSED
Thought Samford was the SoCon's auto? If that's not the case, and Furman was THE auto bid, that makes the case for the Big South even more, if the SoCon's auto bid champ went 1-2 vs the BSC. The SoCon auto bid champ now has lost to the BSC champ, the BSC 4th place, and needed a late 1 point win to ...

Re: Congrats Liberty/CCU; Big South & Liberty got HOSED
The Big South is a generally pretty weak conference. I don't think Liberty got hosed at all. There are much bigger hosers out there, like Youngstown, Delaware, Chattanooga.. Furman is an odd selection though. Delaware didn't get hosed. They lost their last three and finished 7-5, they did not deser...

Re: Congrats Liberty/CCU; Big South & Liberty got HOSED
Congrats to Liberty. You guys came out, and were the physically better team yesterday. We shot ourselves in the foot with 4 turnovers and 16 penalties. BUT, it wouldn't have mattered much. You guys were 17-20 points better than us anyway, and those self-imposed mistakes just made it even worse to t...

The Marist/San Diego Pioneer game that you were referencing was also a make-up...that one from Hurricane Sandy.

Re: Conference expansion ripple to FCS
I don't think Big East sees any value in the other ECU sports. Of course, the Big East seem to be running into the ground. And the rumor is that CUSA has a clause now that they will only have full conference members - which means that with their football team going to the Big East, their other spor...

Re: Conference expansion ripple to FCS
I guess I read the post wrong. But why would the Big East want associates? Wouldn't full members be better? I don't think Big East sees any value in the other ECU sports. OVC Question
I don't know if this has been answered on other threads throughout the season: Is there a reason Tennessee State and Eastern Illinois do not play each other this year? Did something happen last year that caused them to cancel this year's meeting? Since those other teams only play 7 conference games,...

Re: App St lands Oregon Ducks WR transfer Tacoi Sumler
Looks like a pure depth chart issue. Very fast receiver, but also shorter than his competition.
Seems like a great pick-up for Appy.

Re: Newsday: Stony Brook and Albany to CAA next week
So who gets you to 12 in fb and in all sports C of C, Davidson or UNCG, and ???? A school w/ fb or all 3 plus CCSU for fb only? Yeager wants 12 all sports, do they settle for 10 w/ C of C? If anything, they're going to look to the south (SoCon or Big South). The northern football teams (UNH, Maine,...

Re: Newsday: Stony Brook and Albany to CAA next week
Yeah, CCSU (and Duquesne like the article talks about) are not on the CAA's radar for anything. There are some in the conference that aren't happy that Albany is joining with their low attendance history, but at least they have a new stadium to increase excitement. CCSU and Duquesne draw even less t...

Re: Newsday: Stony Brook and Albany to CAA next week
It seemed like there was one side (maybe 40%) defending the Albany and SBU pickups. Then there was the other side (maybe 60%, just a guesstimate) bashing it. If you read through the threads I was one of the biggest defenders. You may have just seen this thread, "Stony Brook and Albany Heading ...
