I don't think the Hens have ever lost to Montana. :coffee:
I have no clue what I was saying there, but you are correct. The Hens are 1-0 against Montana.
49-48, over a Dickinson-led Montana team to boot. In Missoula. :thumb:

Re: All Things California

Maybe the wind is too fast for the windmills? :coffee: It is California. Lots of hot air. :) Depends on the turbine, but I think it varies from 40-50 mph for shutoff. yes, I was both joking that you could have too much wind, while also knowing there was a limit somewhere - didn't realize it was 40-...

Re: 2020 NBA Season

Well, LeBron is now 36, not 26. Last year was a sobering reminder that he can't take a bunch of misfits to the playoffs, let alone the Finals anymore. He needed to get the best player in the West to join him (as well as other ring-chasers). As far as Pippen goes, his time in Portland showed he was ...

Re: Pac 12: Wait up you guys!

FCS football is another thing entirely. Outside of NDSU and maybe Montana, no one really makes any money on it. And with the additional testing and logistics necessary, it's bound to lose even more money. FBS schools can play and want to play because of the TV money - it's substantial. If they were...

Nuggets down 3-1 to the Lakers. Why do I think they have them right where they want them? Seems like the Nuggets don't start playing until they are down 3-1. Maybe they'll play better now that they're eliminated 4-1? And not to poke you too much, but the Lebron Lakers just walked trough the "...

Re: Confederate hanging

Flaggy's response works. Assuming as was said that this is not a Civil War memorabilia store. But when push comes to shove, if it's my store, I ultimately decide what gets displayed in my store, and there's no way I would ever fly that flag, or even show it, with anything I'm associated with. With both the Pac-12 and Mountain West set to start end of October, early November, is the Big Sky not that far behind? FCS football is another thing entirely. Danger here, of course, is that he's another Isaiah Thomas - all splash and no substance. Remember, Isaiah went in and broke the Knicks, and then he headed the CBA for a couple of years and bankrupted that organization into oblivion. Deion has a little of that track record - the charter school he fo...

As for the nominee, I'm fine with Barrett. She's intelligent and has some verve, so I like that in my SCOTUS justices. A little on the young side, but I understand why they'd do that as well.

It really doesn't matter for the long term. There is a chance the Republicans will hang onto their share of power this time because the COVID-19 thing creates all the uncertainty associated with voting by mail. But it won't be long in historical terms before the Democrats control everything. And th...

I don't think the Republicans will look ugly if they just lay their cards on the table and say straight up that they are not going to allow Obama to fill that position. I mean, they'll look ugly to people who would never vote for them anyway. But I don't think they'd hurt themselves politically. Ju...

Liberal friend posted on FB that Trump's folks didn't want to tell him about RBG at the Minny rally because they feared the audience would cheer her death. He was upset at this notion that people would cheer her death because of the country Trump has created. I don't disagree that they may have che...

No nukes, though. Nuclear bad. :ohno:

Imagine how much better off we'd be emission-wise if environmentalists and green folks back in the '70's and '80's were as successful as they were in demonizing nuclear energy.
