Re: 2022 March Madness
Houston is legit. Completely new team this year I believe. Sampson rebuild crazy fast. I love the way they attack the O glass and their passes off the rebounds are the best!

Re: THE BIG EAST CONFERENCE
Wow. Rutgers upset over Purdue at the RAC was totally unexpected. It is a tough venue though. It will be interesting to see if they are as poor on the road as last year, or if they are really improved. Purdue, Gonzaga, UCLA, Kansas, Baylor are the best teams I have seen so far. Might be a short list...

Re: QF - SoDak State @ #5 Villanova
Last week vs Holy Cross announced attendance 5109. I imagine a goodchunk were Holy Cross. Last time vs hosted a quarterfinals (2014 vs SHSU), Keelers 1st season, the announced attendance was 2,333. Granted playoff #s are typically lowballed since the NCAA gets a cut of the gate, but I also think a ...

Re: THE BIG EAST CONFERENCE
Loyola -Chicago is so fundamentally sound. The coach has done another amazing job.
If Buddy continues his streak the Cuse has a chance for another upset, I agree.
Let's see what the weekend brings. I am sure there will be a surprise or two. This tournament never disappoints.

Re: THE BIG EAST CONFERENCE
CREIGHTON with another win in the tourney! How 'bout them Blue Jays! Big East with two teams in the Sweet Sixteen but they now play the top two teams in the country in Baylor and Gonzaga. An upset in one of the games would be huge. Gonzaga did look human against Oklahoma though. Nova benefitted from...

Re: 2020-21 College B-Ball Season
I need to watch Baylor. KenPom has them #1. Syracuse has shot up to number 31 in KenPom now. Not sure how well your post is going to age. With that said, for some reason he has Iowa's offense as being better ranked than Gonzaga's offense. Apparently the rating system didn't watch the actual game. I...

Re: 2020-21 College B-Ball Season
Syracuse is no longer a threat to win the tournament IMO. Very different profile than when they were in the Big East. Not sure why you think that is an unsupportable statement. Seems like a no brainer to me. https://www.lhsdoi.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/33785241-900x506.jpg Always gotta get you...

Re: 2020-21 College B-Ball Season
It's just my opinion . You and I have different ways of judging teams and conferences for sure. I tend to take all the games into consideration and give a lot of credit to out of conference wins where the Big East traditionally flourishes. You tend to weigh more heavily on the tournament. Syracuse i...

Re: 2020-21 College B-Ball Season
Did you type that post Tuesday night and then just forget to post it? Did you not notice the ACC swept the Big 10 on the games on Wednesday night and only lost the ACC/Big 10 battle by a game? If the ACC's down, it's that they don't have a top of the line, marquee team this year. They'll be one of ...

Re: 2020-21 College B-Ball Season
Early results seem to point to a down year for the ACC. Big 10, Big East and Big 12 seem likely to be better conferences. I know Syracuse was a FInal 4 team a few years ago but that program seems to have lost it's luster since. A once proud top 10 program now relegated to a middle of the road confer...

Re: THE BIG EAST CONFERENCE
It only took a world wide virus to extend it. They were very likely to win one or two this year. And, from what I read and can see about next year, they might be a top 10 team.
Early predictions have Nova in 1 or two. Would be nice the see a fourth title come to the Main Line.

Re: THE BIG EAST CONFERENCE
Quite a year for College Bball. Who would have predicted Dayton, San Diego State and Creighton to be top 10 programs. Gotta believe there will be more upsets than usual. The teams look so evenly matched. Just throwing it out there. How many teams have a shot to win it all? Thoughts? Predictions? Ju...

Re: THE BIG EAST CONFERENCE
Beating the #9 team in the nation certainly helps. Let me go out on a limb and predict a first round loss in the NC tourney. Still have only 1 win out of their own gym. Well, let's be honest, that's a weird stat you're pulling up. They played like what, one non-conference game on the road? So you'r...

Tough loss for the Scarlet Knights last night. Hard to see them in the tournament with a 1-10 record on the road and neutral court.

Re: THE BIG EAST CONFERENCE
Out of conference stats to consider: The Big East leads all conferences with an 80.1 percent winning percentage, ahead of the Big 12 (76.5%), Big Ten (75.7%), ACC (75.3%), Pac-12 (74.2%), AAC (70.5%) and SEC (70.4%). The Big Ten and Big East are knotted 8-8 through 16 non-conference games this seaso...

RU's win against Seton Hall was without Powell I believe. I think he only played a few minutes. These two teams play each other next so one of them will be on a three game losing streak.
Can't wait for March Madness.

Re: THE BIG EAST CONFERENCE
The Big 10 is deep and talented, I agree. I would be leery about tournament success though. They don't seem to be able to win on the road.
and, maybe it's just me, but a conference where Penn State and Rutgers win, makes one wonder too.

Re: THE BIG EAST CONFERENCE
At this juncture of the season it appears that the old Big East members that left to go to the ACC-Miami, Pitt, Va Tech, BC, Notre Dame and Syracuse will all be out of the NCAA tournament. Louisville is the only team that is in and they had to poach a Big East coach to do so. That's pretty damning....

It's only one indicator. Not folly, for sure. You missed my point though. Delaware had very good teams in the years I included in my post. You were happy as a clam with the level of competition i'm sure. Doesn't make you a bad guy. Maybe you're unable to separate your fandom for your team fro...
