Re: IT'S ON! Official Charleston Southern @ N Dakota St thread!
So, southern teams are incapable of finding recruits outside of the south is what you are saying? That maybe they are too caught up in the idea of southern speed? And don't give me this its too far out of our area garbage. SDSU regularly has kids from AZ on their team as well. The funny part to me ...

Re: IT'S ON! Official Charleston Southern @ N Dakota St thread!
Lets please not be naive.. I copy and pasted an article from Bleacher Report. Here is the link as well: http://www.sbnation.com/college-football/2014/12/22/7430243/fcs-football-north-dakota-state-illinois-state There's a reason why Northern football is better than Southern football when it comes to ...

Re: IT'S ON! Official Charleston Southern @ N Dakota St thread!
What a lot of people up North are failing to realize is that all these weight and height numbers don't really mean as much as they think it does. We've watched NDSU v. Coastal, we've watched NDSU v. Jax St, we're well aware of the dominant force that NDSU is. The reason that NDSU is favored and prob...

Re: Charleston Southern @ Jacksonville St : Mission Impossib
From my perspective, I don't see CSU in the same class as JSU. I hope you win, but don't see a way for you to get there. JSU is just going to be too athletic for CSU to overcome. My guess is a 14+ point loss. Good luck, you guys have over-achieved all year, maybe you have another one in you. I agre...

Re: Charleston Southern vs The Citadel round 2! Buckle up bo
I agree with all of this besides QB's and Secondary. First off, I'm always weary of calling a triple option QB a QB . I believe Brown is a much better QUARTERBACK, and has the ability to really murder defenses in multiple ways (see Coastal and Liberty, 550 yards and 6 TDs combined in the two games ...

Re: Charleston Southern vs The Citadel round 2! Buckle up bo
As you can see from my position matchups, The Citadel is probably the better team overall. However, the Bulldogs just match up terribly to Charleston Southern. CSU has completely shut down the run this year, allowing just 110 ypg and 3.3 ypc, and they've given up less than 200 rushing yards in ever...

Re: On behalf of Charleston Southern, apologies to Citadel f
Blackbaud Stadium seats little over 5k. No stadium in Charleston would be worth canceling out CSU's right to a home game off of their successful season but Johnson Hagood, which would be an outrage and a complete disservice to those kids down there at CSU that earned the right to be in their stadium...

Re: 2015 FCS Playoffs
I like the seeds besides Richmond being in. The field of 16? Eh. - I don't believe Richmond vs. W&M was a "win and you're seeded" game. I believe if W&M wins they are seeded, and if Richmond wins, great quality win, you're secure in the playoffs. - 1-4 is seeded perfectly, McNeese ...

BIG SOUTH PICK'EM (11/14)
Somewhat a big week in the Big South, a couple things at stake here. Let's discuss. - CSU could clinch full ownership of the Big South title with a win over Liberty - Liberty could see themselves hanging from a thread but still in the playoff race with a win over CSU - Coastal could see themselves s...

Re: Possible Favorites for Coach of the year
Everyone has a case. If Chadwell goes 9-2, 8-0 in FCS and a national seed, it goes to him IMO. With the high school facilities and 2,000 student attendance at CSU, what he has done is unthinkable and I'm surprised he hasn't won it all 3 years there. Much better situation at all schools mentioned abo...

Re: 11/9 Poll: Charleston Southern #8; Coastal #4; Citadel #
Agreed. CSU a better team, won't say MUCH better, but better. MUCH better resume I will say that. I would just bump 5-8 up 1 spot and make CSU #7, CCU #8. CCU or CSU fans should be happy with that, though I'm sure CCU will take #4 any day!dbackjon wrote:Kinda screwy that CCU is ranked ahead of CSU

Re: Bracketology
All changes if CSU doesn't beat Liberty. But if they do....they'd be undefeated in FCS with 2 top 25 wins and a win over a 2014 playoff team (LU). CCU winning out would be 10-1 with only a loss to likely top 10 CSU. I think they'd both deserve a seed. But as for your bracket......CSU hosting the wi...

This is the most recent NOBOWLS.com bracket. This is solely based on if the playoffs were to start TODAY, so it will definitely shift. EWU at SHSU vs 4. McNeese State Crap I hope not. I was thinking last night about how I really don't want McNeese to have to see Sam Houston State again this year. It's similar to the way I felt when McNeese beat Western Kentucky 38-13 during the 2002 regular season and I told my brother as we walke...

Re: POSSIBLE SEEDING FOR BIG SOUTH?
If Coastal loses to Kennesaw St and/or Liberty, then I'd say we're out. But if we win the next two games, as does Charleston Southern, It'll be wild. It won't happen, b/c CSU will lose to Alabama. We'll still be ranked but, it wouldn't make sense to leave a Top 10 or 15 team out of the playoffs. CS...

Right now, according to NOBOWLS.com, the current seeds are as follows: - Jacksonville St - Illinois St - McNeese St - Richmond - UT Chat - Portland St - North Dakota St - South Dakota St After the crazy day yesterday and all the shake ups, especially in the Big South, is there any chance that a Big ...
