Re: Miscellaneous news items that don't warrant their own thread

Neat story. On paper, a curved glass lens should be able to redirect all the rays of light passing through it onto a single target known as its focal point. But in the real world, it just doesn’t work that way. Differences in refraction across the lens, as well as imperfections in its shape and mate...

Well you should also take height into factor as you might not have enough head pressure if you are too short.

How many CS.com posters are on Twitter? I’m not. It’s the silliest”hey, look at me!” concept on social media. Did Obama ever tweet while in office? I can’t remember. A plague on both their houses. I am not, nor will I ever be. Personally, I find Social Media "popularity contests" incredib...

University of North Dakota doesn’t really have a big game until they travel to Fargo in the second week which, I am sure, they widely recognize as their Super Bowl. They have been talking about it since their last visit in 2015, a 39-9 loss that wasn’t as close as it looks. Many fans in Grand Forks...

I don't use them because I never remember to bring the one bag I have with. Besides, how else am I going to get free garbage bags? Totally this. I’ve had several in my rig for years. Never used once... while driving a gas guzzling Canyonero. I’m like the jet set celebrities! Sweet! You need to burn...

Re: 2019 NASCAR/INDYCAR/F1

Just watched the race last night and I agree. Lots of excitement and the best was all the times the cars would get a tire over into the smooth start area and start fish tailing due to lack of traction. I remember when NASCAR tried rain treads in a truck road race. It was fishtailing at its finest. ...

Re: 2019 NASCAR/INDYCAR/F1

This race is nuts. HAM, LEC, and VER all with spins after switching from inters to slicks. Then they all go back to inters. Mercedes pit box was not at all ready for HAM to come in and he loses four positions in the pits while they run around scrambling for tires. HAM also gets a 5 sec penalty for ...
