He has hitched his buckboard already to several half-broke broncs in the name of playing devils advocate. I am starting to think he just likes to argue and missed his calling as a lawyer. :coffee:

Re: SHOULD NDSU GET TF OUTTA FCS?

I just don't understand why the bison would keep doing so well. Seriously who the fuck wants to live in Fargo. The winters are terrible. Snow on the ground becomes a blizzard because the wind is so strong. Flat lands are dumb. :tothehand: :tothehand: I happen to enjoy it here in the flat lands. Yes...

Re: Coronavirus

China has been/is going through a big epidemic of swine flu in their hog population and both SARS/Swine Flu affect the respiratory tract. My SWAG is that the same conditions that arose to promote their problem with swine flu probably had an effect on any body that still had a form of SARS. Wuhan ha...

Re: Coronavirus

A couple comments- This virus does not appear to be very different from SARS. The difference now is twofold: a) China’s economy has expanded bigly since SARS. 10x Chinese are traveling abroad than were doing so during SARS b) The Chinese govt largely covered up SARS. They have been much more open a...

One of my favorite history books is Daniel Okrent’s Last Call. I highly recommend it for any student of Prohibition. :thumb: I will look it up. There was a couple of bootlegger runs near my parents house where guys would make a run from Canada and make drop near near a couple of the lakes and peopl...

Bismarck has one, fake door and all, that makes some really good Old Fashions. Plus they have this one drink that is made with Fruity Pebbles. It is interesting (in a good way) to say the least. Is it downtown or elsewhere in Bismarck? I usually get dragged to Bismarck once a year for work. It is d...

W2 was released today and I did most of the paperwork over Christmas break when I was snowed in by a blizzard. Just waiting for a few more papers and then it is off to the tax guy.

I didn't exactly mean moving NDSU up. I meant including them in the poll as a Division I team worthy of inclusion....

We will find out where when we play Oregon this fall and if we can keep it respectable.

Re: SHOULD NDSU GET TF OUTTA FCS?

They have something very special and they won't have it if they go to FBS. Pretty much a zero chance they'd ever win another national championship. More likely than not that they would be a mediocre at best FBS program. Define mediocre. Is Boise mediocre? I'm guessing they've been ranked more seaso...

No and Gill explained it very well in his post.

Now if the FBS shake up between the P5 and the rest happened, I would be open to re-visiting that but until then we stay put.

Re: Miscellaneous news items that don't warrant their own thread

The newest Chevy Corvette can apparently do at least 120 mph, but it's a bad idea to test that out in a 45 mph zone. Two General Motors engineers learned that lesson the hard way last week, when they were arrested for racing in Bowling Green, Kentucky -- not far from the factory that builds the leg...
