Re: Coronavirus COVID-19

What point is that? We still don’t know much about and it’s short term and long effects. I can see those points and figured that is what you meant but wanted to make sure. :thumb: Short term I would argue that we know enough to make a good decision for the overall general wellbeing of society. Long...

Re: All Things California

It is California. Lots of hot air. :) Depends on the turbine, but I think it varies from 40-50 mph for shutoff. yes, I was both joking that you could have too much wind, while also knowing there was a limit somewhere - didn't realize it was 40-50 mph. Seems kinda low, though, especially considering...

Re: Coronavirus COVID-19

She should write a book. :coffee: And I agree that we don't know much, but what we do know is enough to make some good judgment calls. As for long term effects, I guess we will find out in 10+ years when we get to the "long" portion of long term. Probably around the same time we will find out the l...

I thought these people have those newfangled power generating windmills.
Maybe the wind is too fast for the windmills? :coffee:

Re: Coronavirus COVID-19

Yes. Until Nov 4. We still know so little about it. Testing is questionable. Long term or at least lingering effects are still concerns... Israel has had to shut back down almost completely. We might not even be out of the first round yet. The one optimistic part is improvement in treatments. Very ...

Re: Trump’s SCOTUS nominee

Hilarious, given the number of people who are taking the red pill on a daily basis. While you base your theory on demographics, I’ll base mine on intelligence. People are beginning to see what the Dem party is all about and it ain’t pretty. People are beginning (slowly) to wise up. Even brown and b...

Re: Trump Selects Amy Coney Barrett for SCOTUS

As for the nominee, I'm fine with Barrett. She's intelligent and has some verve, so I like that in my SCOTUS justices. A little on the young side, but I understand why they'd do that as well. Agree. She is a better selection than Lagoa just from a case history standpoint. Give Lagoa a few more year...

Re: Here We Go Again (Louisville)

You know, reading about this case does bring to mind one of the real problems we have regarding issues like this - no one seems to know what the real story is. There's no consensus over whether these cops announced themselves or not, but more importantly, there's not enough attention being paid as ...

Agreed, they did a great job filming and putting that scene together. The score gets me. I've always felt that if a song can give you goosebumps or cause a physical reaction then it's got to be in your personal top 10 or whatever. That's what the score does to me....it gives me chills. I can only t...

There are a few hoops to jump through but it can be worth while. Makes for some good deer hunting land. Big hoop is that your county can't have over 25% of current cropland already be enrolled in CRP. Our new neighbor is an avid pheasant hunter and we’ve briefly talked about creating upland habitat...

The Black Lives Matter people are going way off the rails on this one. There were things about this one I didn't know until the Kentucky Attorney General laid things out today. It was a tragic thing. Mistakes were made and there needs to be accountability for that. But the police did announce thems...

Why not? The Left does it all the time. Because we're better than that. We shouldn't fall into the trap of, " Well the Left did it, so why can't I." I'm not going to judge the faith of someone I don't know. I probably won't even judge the faith of someone I do know, to be honest. I grew up learning...
