A beloved figure in Montana--Papa Bear. Ahead of his time with his 5-wide passing offense.

Re: Title Game - #2 Montana vs. #1 South Dakota St. (Sun., 1/7)

NDSU was 17 in 2013, and 19 in 2018. Both NDSU and JMU were typically in the 30s other years. Well, the Sagarins are always interesting, and we love seeing our teams up toward the top of them, but they're hardly infallible. For example, they still have MSU higher than the Griz even though the Griz ...

Re: Title Game - #2 Montana vs. #1 South Dakota St. (Sun., 1/7)

Seems high compared to JMU’s and a couple of NDSU runs. How heavy does Sagarin rate margin of victory? NDSU was 17 in 2013, and 19 in 2018. Both NDSU and JMU were typically in the 30s other years. Re: BSC Projections...

Well, all of that may be true, but it's also based on an 11-game schedule. Six Division I wins in a 12-game season would be looked at pretty harshly, I would think. What, are we becoming a bowl division where everyone gets a participation ribbon and a playoff berth? Why? Teams like Nicholls, Furman...

Re: BSC Projections...

EWU scheduled themselves out of the playoffs. They can’t reach seven Division 1 wins. One of their wins was against Lindenwood, a Division 2 team. The handbook was changed a few years back. It now reads "less than 6 DI wins may put a team in jeopardy of not being selected as an at-large"....

Re: BSC Projections...

It looks like the BSC will get at least FOUR into the playoffs. BBQ will at least split their final two (there's only the Griz to really worry about). After that close call yesterday, it looks like smooth sailing for Sac, particularly if Thomson's back. The Griz have to worry about BBQ AND the Braw...

Yup, just like the last time they played in Hillsboro. ;) Barnum has beaten the Griz in Portland and in Missoula. This is the trifecta. Icing on the cake. Mmmmmm...icing. Davis Alexander is one tough kid, I must say. He took some absolute shots today, but kept getting up off the deck.

The same reason UNI is ranked 15 with a 3-3 record. Clout. Meh. I don't see that in the same light. UNI doesn't technically have a losing record, and being an MVFC school, they likely have a better SOS. A bigger issue in terms of 3-3 clubs would be Delaware.... Well, three of their four losses are ...

I think the bad blood between UM and ISU must have started about 2010 when the Griz borrowed ISU's colors and wore them as Halloween costumes in their loss to the Bobcats. https://bloximages.chicago2.vip.townnews.com/missoulian.com/content/tncms/assets/v3/editorial/c/b3/cb39fddd-41d0-5c3b-90ee-13ff...

You're really bragging about attendance that's about 40% of Montana's? Well, congratulations, I guess, on your tiny stadium with seats miles from the action, that you've managed to fill with 2/5 of the fans that Montana draws. What an accomplishment!

I think the Griz have only played one game ever against any member of the SWAC, and that was in 1989 when the Griz blasted Jackson State 48-7 in the playoffs in Missoula.

Viks/Griz with a healthy Gustafson and no rain--totally different game. Bt we're getting WAY ahead of outselves here... The Griz D has trouble with their offense and PSU has the best pass D in the league, so it's still a bad matchup. Much worse matchup when we had to throw in a QB who seemed to sta...

A real man does this by cuttting a hole through a foot and a half of ice, calmly dives in, jumps out with a 46" pike in his mouth, and bangs his woman right there on the ice to warm her up since she got cold watching him do it. Right after he strangles a grizzly bear with his bare hands. So yo...
