Finger on the trigger or not, loaded or not, I'd think just about anyone would practically shit themselves having a gun pointed at them...especially if you don't know if it's loaded or not.

Re: Most people still are misinformed on health care......
Exactly. We get so bogged down in pointless, unnecessary paperwork that does nothing but create headaches and stress that it takes away from the positive experience of getting (hopefully) good health care. Glad your wife and baby are alright. :thumb: (I assume they are, right?) They are good to go,...

Re: Most people still are misinformed on health care......
It's as I saw somewhere--we don't need health care reform, we need insurance reform. Our health care, for the most part, is pretty sweet in this country (AFAIK). It's insurance bureaucracy that screws things up. Just my two cents. I agree, and I am seeing this mess first hand right now. My wife had...

Really not pleased with your choice of vernacular...you couldn't have said he was an asshole or a bastard, you had to put him down by using a derogatory term for women?
You're a better person than that. (I hope.)

Returning to the thread OP, good luck this weekend to the Panthers. Hartzell did a nice job and it has really showed the past few years. Never did hear why he left but you've got some good programs in Cedar Falls. I must stop ,,,, my mouth is watering now for a Maid Rite. Have a fun weekend UNI fan...

Actually, i would rescue a dog from the pound before I would save a baby. BTW, how many children have you adopted from mothers who chose to carry their baby to full term & give up for adoption instead of aborting? Me too, except I'd adopt a cat instead of a dog. Kills me how conservatives, who ...

Abortion is not a right, it's just not illegal. People used to be able to descriminate against blacks. Were you opposed to that change? Of course not. No shit, but you have no right to any discussions, decisions or procedures between my doctor & myself, so how are you even going to find out if ...

It says right on the website that they promote conservative values, so I don't take much stock in this article.
It also looks like that same Heritage Foundation funded the study. Ya think that might have had something to do with the results?

Re: Obama to seek repeal of "Don't ask, Don't Tell"
There are thousands of serving gay persons = they are not prohibited from serving . They did not change their views, they do not have an "inability to serve..." so what is your point? If they tell, they can get kicked out. However, if you walk in and talk about banging your wife, no probl...

 Oy vey. You can disagree all you want, but one other pro-choicer already recognized the symbiotic relationship a baby and mother have. They are two separate entities. Even conjoined twins are two separate entities. A tumor is part of a woman's body. If you're prepared to compare an unborn ch...

Just leave politics out of my football! Dammit, there's a time and a place and I don't want to see that during the Super Bowl--and if they've prohibited political type ads before, then they need to stick to the policy.

Re: Roe v Wade Anniversary
Those are all reasons enough for me to do it. Let me put it this way: if I were to become pregnant, and for some reason couldn't get an abortion, I'd try to induce one myself. Failing that, suicide (or at least I would seriously consider it). You know you don't want a child and am sure you take sen...

Personally I don't care if queers are able to marry. It doesn't bother me one bit. For Chrissakes my own brother is gay and I sure as hell wish he would settle down, get married and quit bringing a different homo to Thanksgiving every year; I can't keep up with all their names. It is real easy to pontificate from behind a keyboard when you HAVE ALL THE RIGHTS ALREADY that I do not have. This may be a game to some of you, and the outcome doesn't effect you one way or another. But for me, this is my life. Yep. Kinda like abortion. You fucking assknobs (Joltin Job, 89...) ca...

Re: Obama to seek repeal of "Don't ask, Don't Tell"
The problem is that if someone in the military admits or is found to be gay, they are kicked out and lose all their benefits. If it was anyone else, you'd all be screaming bloody murder. And anyone who equates homosexuality with pedophilia is pretty fucked in the head. Because heterosexual people NE...
