Re: WaPo article on Coastal Carolina

Moglia's "Be a Man" philosophy seems to be working a little better than Bennett's "Be a Dog" campaign! Hope that Coastal makes some noise in the playoffs.

Re: Good GOSH this bowl thing has gotten cheesy

The Sun Bowl today was a freaking JOKE. A sub-.500 team that had to get a waiver to accept a bid took out U$C rather handily. What's up with THAT?!? :ohno: Lane Kiffin I enjoyed watching his smug a$$ trying to pretend to care yesterday. I don't understand why people get bent out of shape over bowl ...

Re: Hillbillys Like Incest the Best

Voted? Where the heck did they get THAT word? I've never heard of a football coach (or ANY athletic coach, for that matter) being "elected." The AD made the offer with the President's approval. There's no "election" there. That said, this has all the feel of a gang rape. The pre...

Re: New SH Bracketology

The odds of us playing an opening round game are not very good. If we beat FU, almost all of the tie breaking formulas have us as the auto bid. It is much more likely that Wofford would play over Thanksgiving. If we finish 7-4 I think we're probably out.

Um 38-14. I remember being told after the 2007 Championship game that the refs **** you over didn't matter when you lose by four scores, amiright? Stuffing 30,000 inbred hillbillies into a stadium built to hold 20,000 didn't help... But c'mon, it's not like Villanova's QB is the 2nd coming of Arman...

Re: NBC Sports to Televise 5 CAA Games

The CAA has signed a deal with NBC Sports (the former Vs. channel) to nationally televise 5 games each year beginning in 2012 through 2017. This, in addition to 13 regional telecasts on the Comcast Network. Congrats to the CAA for signing this deal. :thumb: Head and shoulders better than our Bert &...

The football stadium at Shorter University seats 6,500 people, which is more than the CSU field currently does. http://www.goshorterhawks.com/facilities/images/stadium5.jpg?max_height=332&max_width=500 Man, there's nothing that pisses me off more than a school with a track around the field. ;) ...

Re: Which conf has the best AVG attendance?

SoCon is surprisingly good even considering ASU probably bumps up the average at couple of thousand. 5 schools with enrollment around 4000 or lower in the heart of SEC and ACC football country . That made me laugh. Of course I was looking at it from an Old North State point of view so I'll gi...

5 TEAMS in the playoffs and none make it into the semis? #1 how the fxck does 5 teams in the same conf get in, and 4 of 5 gets dropped in the same round? #2 I hope the Sky gets 5 teams in when they goto 13 teams. :ohno: #3 If Montana wins, that will put the Big Sky in ALL of the last 4 NC games, wh...

Re: stopping the triple option

Your DTs and DEs have to play disciplined assignment football "from the inside out"....keep the shoulders parrallel, close down the gaps by not letting the o-linemen in front of them block down without closing the hole, be patient and wait on the QB to come to you before committing....if ...

Re: NDSU says no to Primetime ESPN

ESPN PRIMETIME FRIDAY NATIONALLY happens about once every ten years for a.FCS team, maybe. I seam to recall a play off game being played on a Friday evening every year for the past 5 years at least. Seems like the Friday night games are usually on the Deuce because of NBA conflicts. This was a shot...

Re: Maine at App State Game Thread

Not as well on a consistent basis. We're young, we've lost a lot of our experienced coaching staff due to the success of those years, and it shows in the playcalling IMO. If we put together a string of games like we did against GSU I like our chances - unfortunately, we've seen quite a rollercoaste...
