Re: Coronavirus COVID-19

don't get me started on people who wear them in cars when driving alone  :dunce: ). Oh please. Go right ahead. Tell us what's wrong with this. Did the person just leave from one errand and is en route to another errand and didn't feel like taking it off? Do you have any idea why they're wearin...

The American voters were so upset about this that they returned a majority GOP Senate and they elected a GOP President.
The Electoral College elected Trump President. American voters voted for Clinton.

And, the entire Senate wasn't up for election in 2016. Democrats gained 2 seats (IL and NH).

Re: Heaven and stuff

Luke 17:21

Heaven as not a literal realm in the clouds in the afterlife, but a metaphorical peace attained within yourself in this life.

Read Tolstoy. And the Bible metaphorically.

Re: Miscellaneous news items that don't warrant their own thread

Love me some Don Surber. Retired old school journalist who puts out a daily, except Sunday, Highlights of the News and additional pieces like this along the way. https://donsurber.blogspot.com/2020/07/why-trump-tweets.html?m=1 I think they are a double edged sword for him. He's not expanding his ba...

I think it's 2 quarters of negative GDP growth for it to technically be a recession.

Re: Coronavirus COVID-19

That doesn’t answer my question. Are the filters in my home system (and commercial systems) better at filtering than a mask or not? The AC thing is also about blowing air (and particulates) before they reach the filter. There was a pretty well circulated study from March or April on a restaurant an...

I don't think the government can or should tell the company to change their logo, but that's not what happened. What's wrong with a company updating their brand?

How did these same polls look 4 years ago? :coffee:
RCP average on June 22, 2016 was Clinton +3.2.

RCP average is currently Biden +10.

Yes, I know popular vote doesn't decide the election. But, it is a snapshot that gives an impression on how it is going *currently*. And quickest to google.
