Re: Walter Payton Award, a Big Joke?
where at in my entire arguement did i say that Cole should be the winner. I never said that, in fact i said exactly the opposite. He is a good QB, but not the best. Maybe if you would read a little closer and back up your answers you would get a little more done with your argument. Yes the QB needs...

Re: FCS Football, No "strongest conference"
I know that a conference is more than just one team, but my point is that people argue about this stupid point way too much. They need to back off of it, and just see who wins. And than they can go back and look at all the games and how each team did. Like i said, if montana wins, they can look back...

Re: Walter Payton Award, a Big Joke?
By that argument, then Cole Bergquist isn't as good at QB as AE. He has less yards passing than AE with less TDs passing, and has played more games. By your argument, Wildcat Ryan would be right in suggesting that Higgins should win. However, you're also looking purely at stats. I don't believe the...

FCS Football, No "strongest conference"
The great thing about FCS football is that it isn't decided by a bunch of pencil pushers sitting behind a desk and saying oh, this conference is the strongest, or this team is the best. Yes, there are some politics to this process of chooseing the teams that make the playoffs, hence CAA getting 5 pi...

Re: Walter Payton Award, a Big Joke?
Cole Bergquist is a good ball player but Montana's run game and D are the reason they are playing so well. Cole Bergquist, lets face it, is a very inconsistent passer. He sees the field better when he tucks the ball than when he's looking for receivers. Higgins and Nicholls are far better passers t...

Re: Walter Payton Award, a Big Joke?
Although i do think Cole is a great QB, i don't think he's the best player in the country. He is playing like the best right now, but there have been times where i have seen him play like a high school backup quarterback that couldn't hit a target if his life depended on it. If last weeks Cole show...

Re: Okay CAA Fans Please Shut UP!
Come on though, you have to admit the guy has a point: IF they would have played better, and IF they would have scored more points, and IF they would have held Montana scoreless, and IF they had more points on the board at the end of the game, the JMU would have easily won that game. Just sayin'......

Re: Walter Payton Award, a Big Joke?
Nobody at Weber got screwed. Cole Bergquist got screwed. He's the best player in the country this year, and nobody outside of the north and west of the BSC saw it. Although i do think Cole is a great QB, i don't think he's the best player in the country. He is playing like the best right now, but t...

Re: Okay CAA Fans Please Shut UP!
The one thing that has to burn all the people from the CAA that like JMU is that one of their own (Richmond) made it farther than they did. That really has to burn them. Wonder what excuses they are coming up with for that. Just like everyone else is saying. Big Sky Conference isn't as weak as some ...

Re: Montana vs Richmond - for all the marbles
It appears the griz are a team of destiny this year. They got a HUGE break when Landers went down in the first half of the JMU game. If he played the entire game, JMU would have won. He didn't and UM won. Championship teams often get a big break (a huge play at a key moment late in a close game, a ...

Re: Montana vs Richmond - for all the marbles
well, last week was a very interesting week. We had people thinking JMU would blow out UM, well that didn't happen, and UNI blows a chance to be in a National Championship by allowing Richmond to march down the field in the final minutes and slip away with a win. This week will be much of the same, ...

Re: Final Rankings
I was not for sure that JMU was going to win. I thought they were but not for sure. I hope Montana beats Richmond, because I live in Richmond and plus if Richmond wins that means Richmond is better than JMU and I don't think they are since they beat Richmond and would have a better record than Rich...

Re: Stadium Pics
KK, i know that all you have posted pictures of stadiums... I don't need to do that, one because i don't have one, and two.... well i don't have a two. I just know from being on the field, not as a football player, but as an athlete that gets the pleasure to be on the sidelines, that Washington Griz...

Re: Too All Those That Said....
Personally, I still think the best football in the country is played here in the South (it's religion), but I have no problem giving you West Coaster's props for the Griz win. :P ...since I was a kid, I've always been a huge FBS SEC ACC fan...Neyland Stadium is the Vatican. Obviously, being around ...

Re: #4 Montana vs #1 James Madison
Man i should write for some column. I pretty much hit the nail on the head... "i said they would have to have a better pass game, hence they fumbled and turned it over on runs... i said they would have to not turn the ball over... repeat of first section of fumbles on runs... i said that um wou...

Re: #4 Montana vs #1 James Madison
I am sad to reveal my picks. I do pick richmond to win! I believe they are a stronger team and are the team that is playing the best right now. That is the easy pick. Now for the James Madison/Montana game.... Yes, JM has beat several really good teams, but lets not forget that Montana also beat Web...

Re: My semifinal picks
While I don't agree with your pick for winner, I think this assessment of JMU is one of the most spot on that I've seen... I really do thing this will be an outstanding weekend of football for fans of FCS...four very well matched teams... And I'm glad both teams will be prepared for the weather in ...
