Re: Red Turf Prep Starts Sat. June 12
As far as sod removal goes, they didn't go into a whole lot of detail, but it'll start on Monday and I'd imagine it wouldn't take more than a couple days or a week tops. Okay, I was way off.  That's more like it, I know the prep work for the install of FieldTurf at Montana St. a couple ...

Re: MSU Bobcat Stadium Expansion
The additional sky suites will be constructed independently above the current student side stands. Down the road the student section will be replaced (#1 they need it and #2 the seating angle has to match the booster side in order to bowl the two sides together.

Re: Best rivalry
Another dyslexic griz so noted. It's Cat/griz and always has been, live with it. Maybe in Bozo-land, but in the football heartland, it'll always be Griz/scat. One more dyslexic griz duly noted, but I already knew your head was fucked up. :kisswink: The dylexia among griz fans has only been ar...

Re: Best rivalry
I know a lot of people are saying if/when the Griz move up that the Cat/Griz game will cease to exist...well I call straight bullshit on that. They will make it happen. It's in the top 5 for longest running rivalries, it won't die. In any case, my vote is for Griz-Cat (and I'll always call it that ...

The Brawl of the Wild is something the media trumped up a few years ago, it's always been Cat/griz.

Re: ESPN article on EWU's red turf
There're 2 or 3 of you guys whose heads are going to implode when you get thumped this year. Unfortunately the Bobcats wont be able to do it on the 'rag rug' this year, we'll do it in our house. Just like in '06, huh? EWU had just graduated Payton winner Erik Meyer along with 16 starters. EWU comes...

Re: ESPN article on EWU's red turf
With that color field, a great stadium layout would be to have "wings" bulging bewteen the 30's. Even without that improvement, this field will surely be the only one to remove odor and wetness. Kind of gives a new meaning to "maxi pad" doesn't it?  You guys must ha...

Re: Three sophomore linebackers leave MSU
Will they be missed? Hell yes, but they're all sophs so there is plenty of other talent on the team. If there's plenty of other talent then why did the article start with: One of the thinnest positions on Montana State's football roster got a little thinner on Friday As a rule the Cats have been pr...

Re: ESPN article on EWU's red turf
Can you imagine how hot an all black field would be in mid September on an 85 degree day? Yeah. And that's probably the other reason they decided to go with red. A black surface would be unbearable the first couple of months of the season. Whereas a red field will be hidiously unbearable the entire...

Re: Three sophomore linebackers leave MSU
Hate to see kids have to leave programs because of off the field circumstances and have to miss out on a free education. Really sucks for MSU. :ohno: What off the field circumstances? Sometimes it helps to read the article. Two of them are still in school but left the FB program because of injury, ...

So far looking at Washinton St. and Idaho St. Thinking about Sac St. but I'll be headed for CA the following weekend for NASCAR so probably won't do two weeks in a row unless I decide to hit Sac and spend a week at my sons place in the Bay area and then head south (actually that isn't a bad plan). Re: how serious is your rivalry?
The Cat/griz rivalry is highly overrated. The fact that if I were driving from Bozeman to Spokane and chose to go north thru Canada or south thru Idaho to avoid having to go anywhere near the shithole known as San Franzoulla is simply a personal choice. The fact that 85% of the people at the San Fra...

Re: Montana State Completes 2010 Schedule
If the Cats don't go at least 8-3 with that schedule, there's something wrong. The best part is no matter who they schedule OOC or which games are home or away, EWU will still beat them. :D Well, that puts them in quite the quandry, then. If the Eags will dish out their annual beatdown, and o...

Re: ENOUGH WINTER .... When is your spring scrimmage?
The Triangle Classic scrimmage will be Apr. 10th in Great Falls, Banquet, auction, etc. the night before and Brent Musberger is the guest speaker this year. Finla scrimmage will be in Bobcat Stadium probably a week or so later, Last year the Cats started spring ball on Mar. 8th, so it's not too far ...

Drake AND Fort Lewis! A D-II, a non-scholly I-AA, and possibly the worst team in FBS. Scats could go 3-0!  Sorry we got Ft. Lewis, they were griz regulars until they found a bigger guppy in Western State. Real tough OOC the fizz have with Western State, North Dakota and Cal Poly. Most gr...

Montana State Completes 2010 Schedule
From MSU- BOZEMAN, Mont. – Montana State plays its official Homecoming game on October 9 against Portland State next fall, but Rob Ash will face a different Homecoming game of sorts much earlier in the season when Drake, the school he led on the gridiron for 18 years, visits Bozeman. Drake of the Pi...
