The groundhog saw its shadow. That means six more weeks of Luka and the Lakers. :D
Luka may be around for while.
Luka and the Lakers sounds like a 1970's Kroffs Saturday morning cartoon show (remember "Sigmund and the Sea Monsters"?).

Gonzaga plane in "near miss" at LAX

The FAA is investigating an incident last week involving the Gonzaga team plane at the Los Angeles airport before their game with UCLA. Upon their arrival at LAX, the plane proceeded to a runway crossing where they were to stop and allow a Delta flight bound for Atlanta to take off. There were some ...

Re: Bill Belichick

Portland State is still trying to recover from the Jerry Glanville years. I really can't recall the last former NFL coach that had any real success going back to college football. Maybe Herm Edwards, but I don't think his time at Arizona State really set them up for success.

Re: NCAA Division I FBS Football Playoffs

Rubber Duckies got hosed (not that I mind actually). SEC bumps Notre Dame to #7 and Ohio State is #8 means that Georgia gets a favorable matchup (winner of Indiana/Notre Dame) and the Duckies have to face either the Buckeyes again or Tennessee.

I can see the argument against NAU making it. No marquee wins, a weak NAIA non-counter, and no chance for a marquee win in their last game, but their losses have all been close to good teams (Montana, Idaho, UIW and Arizona). I can see them getting in, but I can also see the committee leaving them b...

I'm highly steamed that 16 Southeastern (FL) (7-2, 4-2 The Sun) didn't get in. I think their game against FL Memorial that was cancelled due to one of those hurricanes cost the Fire. SMH.... I believe that Southeastern is the highest ranked school not to get in. Traditional NAIA power Dordt (IA) is...

Rivalry week. The final regular season set of games this weekend. For a 12-member conference such as the Big Sky, 5 teams may represent the conference in the playoffs. Montana State, UC Davis and Idaho were all most likely in before last week. Montana is most likely in after their win last week. Nor...

Agreed. Chico State, Hayward State (now Cal State East Bay), University of the Pacific, Long Beach State, and Cal State Fullerton at the very least have dropped football. And I was 6th string QB at UOP when it happened in '95. Our big claim to fame that year was beating OR State.... Humboldt State,...

One regular week left and one rivalry week to close out the regular season and I am at 66-16 for the year. Even with the rivalry week coming up, there are still some great games this week before that, which makes them harder to predict. Who's still playing? Who's mailed it in already? Who is gearin...
