Bunch of good performances all around when you beat a team by almost 30 points. A 20-20 game is impressive as well. :D

Interesting in that Tech has already lost to Western, Rocky and Carroll so far. :o

Re: Portland State Cans Bruce Barnum

I guess there was a limit as to how many games Barnum could lose. He went 39-75 in 11 seasons with the Viks and didn't have a winning season after his inaugural one. https://goviks.com/news/2025/11/22/portland-state-athletics-announces-football-coaching-change.aspx That first season told it all. Re: Big Sky Predictions 11-22

One more week and I am currently at 71-18 for the year. Rivalry weekend, which makes a perfect week difficult as everyone wants to beat their rival. This final week in the Big Sky, three rival games, The Potato Bowl, the Causeway Classic, and the Brawl of the Wild all are shaping up to be some rall...

Big Sky Power Rankings 11-18

Final week. Rivalry week. And the Big Sky has three great rivalry matchups this week. The Brawl of the Wild and the Causeway Classic are going to be really good this year and the Potato Bowl is also going to be good as well. The conference should get three teams in the playoffs next week and maybe f...

Two weeks left and only two weeks for a shot at perfection. I was one off last week, missing on the UC Davis/Idaho game, which puts me at 65-18 for the year. This week is the last week until the traditional rivalry weekend when you can throw out the results and pick blind in most games. Here are my ...

Happy Veteran's day to all the veterans out there. With the arrival of Veteran's day, the season is coming to a close. Some great games coming up in the last week, but the teams all have one more week to get through and some have some tough games before the rivalry week. Some teams are playing spoil...

Three weeks to go in this crazy conference season. Another weekend to try to sort this race out. A full slate of conference games again this weekend and a few good ones on tap. Some teams trying to prove that last week was just an aberration and some trying to continue what they did. I split last we...

November got off to an interesting start as all the games last weekend was won by the road team. Even Portland State, playing at Cal Poly got their first win of the season. Now, another full slate of games are on the docket as we get closer to the end. Teams are jockeying for position with only thre...

Re: Week 10: Conference by Conference Breakdown

While I appreciate the recognition of Portland State's win, I would have said that the most surprising result in the Big Sky was the conference had a full slate of games (six) and the road team won each game. Home field does usually mean something, especially in conference games.

Halloween weekend. Time for the contenders to rise to the top and the pretenders to change back into pumpkins. Everyone plays this weekend on a full docket of games in the conference. Moving on through the stretch, leading on to the conference title, the race seems to have thickened a bit. Montana State is still clearly the team to beat but Montana and UC Davis are emerging as legitimate contenders to the Bobcats path to the title. A three team race as we enter the month of Novem...

Now the stretch run truly begins as the conference has a full slate of games every week until the end. Half the conference took a break from conference action and all are set to battle to the end. Sacred Heart vs UM: UM should be an easy one for the Griz, can they get over their slow starts? WSU vs PSU: WSU both are not very good this year, but think Weber is better and good enough to beat PSU on the road. Only four games on tap in the conference this weekend with one being a non-conference matchup. A lot of teams taking the week off from playing. I hate it when personal issues start to creep in when your trying to have some fun. Going to keep this short and simple, helped by the fact that almost half of the teams are off this week with one (Montana) playing a non-conference game. Interesting outcomes last week led to some dramatic shakeups. ...

After splitting the four games last week, I am now at 48-8 for the year. Still respectable but not quite as good as before conference play started. Conference play has been tough for practically everyone. This week, two teams from the bottom are sitting the week out (Portland State and Eastern Washi...
