Re: Good and Bad news from Exit Polling

That, unfortunately, is how it is with the majority of conservatives nowadays. It's why they are so divorced from the truth in so many areas of inquiry. I assure you, political professionals are paying a lot of attention to what the exit polling indicates. There is absolutely no doubt that there is...

Re: What Will/Should Trump Do Following the Inauguration

Twitter got what Twitter deserved when Trump came on board. I wish them a long and bitter marriage. :D   It’s unbearable. HE’S unbearable. I cringe every time someone retweets one of his tweets (I don’t follow him).... He is horrible. Just a disjointed mess when he tweets. I also can't st...

Re: The Media -- Going Forward

So the “reality” that justice is based on English common law is “toxically” “liberal”? :suspicious: I suppose one could be offended at a few realities listed, especially in the competition part. There are even fewer untruths. Most of this is culturally and historically correct for better or for wor...

Re: The Media -- Going Forward

That people don't trust institutions should come as no surprise considering the actions that people in and leading those institutions have done. It is kind of a chicken/egg problem, both have happened and are going to continue to happen. People's trust can be earned back by those institutions/indiv...

Re: The Media -- Going Forward

Phew. I was worried for a moment that you would completely agree and then we would have nothing left to talk about other than the Ref's gave EWU the win back in...... ;) I don't disagree in spirit of your second paragraph, but the "...ramifications of that ignorance now with avoidable illness and d...

Re: The Media -- Going Forward

Mostly agree. Of course people should question everything. That’s a part of acquiring knowledge. There comes a moment though where the questioning becomes a complete rejection of not only the best available science and leadership but the known facts as well. We’re witnessing the ramifications of th...

Re: 2020 General Election

Think about how much talent it takes to be both a tough guy, 'Murican patriot who never loses and everything they do is the Yugest ever and a snowflake/victim. It's Oscar-worthy for sure. I would say it is more Emmy-worthy (as an Emmy is Television based) but Cuomo beat him to it. But if he did win...

agreed. and he alone will be the reason I won't go on Parler….he'll move over there and ruin THAT too... From what I hear, Trumps followers are already ruining Parlar by making it an echo chamber. Twitter and Parler are made for each other. Both are echo chambers for their respective beliefs.

Re: Miscellaneous news items that don't warrant their own thread

There's a good article on Reason.com about Libertarians struggling to find a home in a major political party. https://reason.com/2020/11/30/libertarians-have-no-home-in-either-dominant-political-party/ To go by the post-election commentary, we libertarians are a powerful group holding sway over Ame...

Re: What Will/Should Trump Do Following the Inauguration

What will/should Trump do following the inauguration? Ibanez has already opined in another thread ... I don't know about after but DURING the inauguration, he'll have a MAGA rally and announce he's running in 2024 (and if the media were wise, they'd ignore it. Give him zero press coverage. Lets OAN...
