Re: RBG has Cancer...Again

There's not a single politician on either side that hasn't done a 180 on this. They're all scum. I keep waiting for someone to have the integrity to admit its politics and they're wrong. I'll keep waiting. Actually - If a politician did come out and say what we're all thinking then I'd probably hav...

Re: 2020 General Election

Sounds bigoted. Or do you mean certain Native American tribes? I believe there were several of them that their name for themselves translated into "The People". I honestly haven't checked lately what their voting patterns are so you could be right in that regards. FYP - If JSO is correct then peopl...

Re: 2020 General Election

Try driving the back roads of the upper Great Plains. Hardly a farm yard (or equipment in the field) goes by that you don't see something Trump related. The majority of people in this country do not want Trump. Our system gives him a chance as it did last time. The COVID-19 situation in which intel...

Re: RBG has Cancer...Again

I like what Thomas Sowell said about the whole nomination process. My paraphrase of it is that both sides are hypocritical and so is the media that panders to those feelings.

Re: Gorillas In The Mist - The Official Thread

I am not sure what you mean with this? Two of those are very different than the third (Hippocratic Oath) in that they are government defined and only speak to a set of regulations to follow. The Hippocratic Oath is a voluntary oath and is left up to the individual to follow or not. There is no (at ...

If only our leadership positions were not lifetime and that there was some mechanism in place to remove them from office..... :coffee: We have the Hippocratic Oath for Doctors, OSHA for workers safety, NRC for Nuclear safety. Is there anything similar with law enforcement? I am not sure what you me...

Re: Miscellaneous news items that don't warrant their own thread

He's not demonizing immigrants. He's demonizing illegal immigrants. Yuge difference. Lighten up Francis. First, it isn't just about Trump but Republicans in general and the perception spread by the left is that he and they demonize all immigrants especially Hispanics. Do you have some sort of warni...

Re: RBG has Cancer...Again

Ginsburg dead. Will be interesting to see how Rs respond. I think it would probably be smart for them to make the presidential election about the SCOTUS seat and not rush a nominee through. If they don't think they have any chance, might as well push one through. There are pro's and con's to both a...

Re: Here We Go Again (Minneapolis, MN)

Good data driven article in Quillette and points to the fact that this is highly complex issue with multiple intersecting/determining factors, that all pertain to what is going on and it cannot be distilled down to one single simplified message. https://quillette.com/2020/09/17/black-lives-matter-an...

Carry a weapon? :suspicious: :suspicious: :suspicious:
Conceal Carry is legal here, but the Liberal Powers that be, won't promote that.
So is open carry (with a CC license). It is just not something I would recommend doing.

Re: Gorillas In The Mist - The Official Thread

That sounds like the protesters problem then. Maybe it's the alt-righters who want to focus on blacks being killed by police so that they can point to statistics that show that there isn't a discrepancy and then they can ignore other grievances/issues. These aren't issues that are going to go away ...
