Re: Best All Time FCS QB

I have both McNair and Santos on the list but neither is near the top (Ham, AE, DD). Everyone on the list is a great college QB but the ones at the top of my list won NCs. Gotcha - so the differentiating criteria for you for judging QB's is how good everyone else was on their teams, epscially the d...

Re: Best All Time FCS QB

Ham, Gannon & Santos should all be on the list. McNair stays on it but I couldn't vote for him since he never competed for an NC . What do you mean by this? Santos never played in a title game either. Or do you mean playoffs? Alcorn made the playoffs twice when McNair was there (they didn't do ...

Re: UMASS goes to the MAC...

In 2007 Temple averaged 28,859 in home attendance at the Linc. One of Temple's home games was a 67k sellout vs Penn State at the Linc, where most of the fans were Penn State fans. What's so confusing about that? The fact that I have the attention span of a five year old didn't realize you were putt...

D1B and Cappy have told me stories about Tracy...he seems like a douche. Yeah, they still cuss him to this day. Oh, BTW, as a member of the College Football HOF and the Canadian Football HOF. Ham is the best all-time FCS QB. [/close thread] I was at the 85 UNI/GS game and Ham was amazing. It was an...

I think UMASS will be successful in the MAC.

After a couple of years in the MAC will UMass be more attractive to the Big East than Temple ?

Why can't he just say it's about the oil? I'll bet the folks in Darfur would just love to hear this speech about authorizing military action to save those poor civilians in Libya.. Isn't Darfur actually in the oil rich portion of Sudan? And doesn't most of Libya's oil go to Europe? Shouldn't those ...

Re: Villanova will announce it will move its football progra

I know that it is all about the TV sets, but there may be 1 or 2 instances upcoming where it also becomes about politics, traditions, and "you get this if you take that too". Jeff, you are probably right that there will be 1 or 2 instances where politics and traditions play a part but it'...

Does Nova really give the Big East much pentration of the Philly market? Or is the reality that when it comes to football the Eagles are the big dogs and those that are interested in college football follow Penn St? What is the sports priority order in Philly? Something like this? Eagles Phillies Fl...

Re: Villanova will announce it will move its football progra

Something just doesn't sit right about the whole Big East thing..........TCU? Villanova?......the conference is obviously getting desperate to save itself, which I think in the end (about 5 years from now) will be an exercise in futility. The Big Ten, SEC and ACC will ultimately all end up with 16 ...

on the surface Villanova to the BE is more absurd than NDSU to the Big 12, except for the invite of course. Those of us in Bison City hope you are wrong about the invite. Nova may be opening door so to speak. JBB, this isn't an discussion on faith of fans...as if it were trying to contemplate if th...

Re: Villanova football idea is dead

Agree with Leadbolt and MJ and BHBK - nova's hand is forced here. They can't stay in FCS. It's either drop the sport now, or move up to FBS and see if that works, which it probably won't, and they may drop football then a decade down the line, especially once conference realignments shake out and t...

Pro golfers and baseball players have skill and partake in a competition but a sport requires a level of endurance and those wimps don't even carry their own bags. Is Jon Daley an athelete? John Kruk? Yes, they are. It's a physical skill. Poker is not a physical game. Hen, don't get , I'm kidding. ...
