Re: Cubbies!

I don't think fans of any team in the NL Central are in a position to talk smack. When the Reds are only 6.5 games back but are 10 games south of .500 with a pitching staff that is so bad they could give me a September 1st call-up and I couldn't make them any worse, that says it all about the NL Cen...

Given all of the events since the end of last season, if Ash goes 7-4 overall and 5-3 in the BSC this season, I'd say that's an impressive job.

Re: Reds retire Concepcion's jersey

Yeah, maybe the retiring the jersey/number thing happens too often - I don't know. In this case, to me, anyway, it's just the Reds saying thanks to Concepcion for playing 19 years for them and being a part of a lot of the success the franchise has had on the field. The ESPN article said he's only th...

Obviously the Reds thought it was appropriate and his Reds HOF teammates Joe Morgan, Johnny Bench and Tony Perez and his HOF manager Sparky Anderson obviously support it. What's your point? :?

Re: NFL suspends Vick indefinitely without pay

Vick will be lucky to ever play another down in the NFL. The gambling issue will cause him as much problem with the NFL as will the dogfighting-related activities. If he does play in the NFL again, I don't think it will be as a qb. He is a good enough athlete to be a "slash" type player li...

Re: Montana has a starting QB!!!

I still think that even though he's the most experienced of the Griz qb's, Berquist's going to be the achilles heel for the Griz this year. If the Griz get to the NC as many of their fans think they should, their starting qb in the NC will be one of the other three, not Berquist. JMHO. What is it a...

Re: Montana has a starting QB!!!

This was a given all along. Berquist has far more experience than the other three combined. Berquist has been chosen the pre-season all conference qb. Hauck is under big time pressure to win it all this year so Berquist was the safe choice. One of the problems the Griz have in playing a cupcake OOC ...

Re: Division I puts a Moratorium on Membership

While it would be nice if this move by the NCAA would shut up Griz fans for a while about moving to the WAC, I hardly expect the NCAA to stand in the way if someone presents a good enough case for moving up. If the conference realignments that have been rumored begin to happen and the WAC is left a...

He better the enjoy the 756 thing because he's not getting into the HOF. Maybe he and McGwire, Sosa, Palmeiro, etc. can start their own club and vote themselves in.
