Re: Should Portland State drop football?

No. Football and Basketball ARE the marketing arms of any university. Stupid question, but then I see you are a Tom Cruise fan, makes sense. Yeah and they're marketing futiliy, underachievement and poor decision-making. Jerry Glanville? Which makes this next HC selection even more critical. S...

OK. EWURanger is the man. :thumb: Screw everyone else. Hey, I gave you guys credit for saving my week. I took Sac State and took a lot of heat from the Davis fans on the other site for it. Good. Make sure you rub this one in their faces a little bit. They have been all over our board sp...

Re: Big Sky Predictions 11-21

Sac State came from behind to get the win over “the farm extension”. It was one hell of a game. You are all wrong! (Except for a select few. :thumb: )  Come on, now. Give credit where credit is due. I had Sac against Davis *AND* against NAU. OK. EWURanger is the man. :thumb: Screw ev...

Sac State Rolls On

Sac State pulled an amazing come from behind victory over “the farm extension” this evening. They got the win with a late TD pass with 23 seconds left. The final was 31-28. The starting QB Jason Smith was pulled for Bethel-Thompson at halftime and he made the most of it. The Sac D did next to nothin...

Re: Cal Poly @ Weber State

The ESPN ticker just showed a 38-7 WSU lead at half. This game is in the books. WSU looked strong on both sides of the ball. It will be interesting to see how this all works out for the playoffs.

Re: Cal Poly @ Weber State

WSU QB scrambles for a last second hail mary and fumbles it away to CP. Halftime. WSU - a lot, CP - a little.

Re: Cal Poly @ Weber State

CP has abandoned the run is looking terrible. Not one pass was on target. CP is clearly out of its element. A CP draw sets up a 4th and short. CP QB overthrows the WR by about 10 yards. WSU ball at the CP 40.

Re: Cal Poly @ Weber State

WSU settles for a FG. They are doing pretty much whatever they want on offense. So far a dominating performance.

Re: Cal Poly @ Weber State

The cut blocking by the cal poly o-line isn't getting it done against the WSU front 4. CP to punt. WSU Smith just broke a big one to get the ball to midfeild. WSU is winning the line of scrimmage battle on both sides of the ball.

Re: ...::::THE GREAT WEST SHOULD DISBAND: Heres The Plan::::...

If there is an across the board conference re-alignment in the FCS, I would imagine geographic location would be the primary consideration as this would minimize travel costs. State budgets are shrinking and this is impacting the amount of money state funded universities are receiving. As money gets...

Oh no not this again! First of all UND and USD havent done a thing in the FCS yet. Let them relax, play a few seasons and get in the playoffs first. Secondly what does attendance have to do with anything? Aligning a conference because of similar attendance is about as stupid an idea as ...

I agree with AZGrizFan, make them join in all BSC sports or not at all. I don’t think it would be fair to the schools (Sac State, NAU and others on the geographical outer fringes of the conference) if they had to pony up the money to send all their athletes for BSC sports while some schools would o...

They may be a candidate in the future also as their Qualcomm stadium deal is coming to a close and they have no school owned football facility . The San Diego State football team has signed a new deal with the city to continue playing at Qualcomm Stadium for the next 10 seasons. [/size] http://www....

Re: FCS Coaches On The Hot Seat....?

I know that fan boards are not the be-all and end-all of this, but if it were, Marshall Sperbeck will be out the door as soon as the Causeway Classic is over. SacBuzz is all over him and DC Lou Baiz, a longtime faithful Hornet assistant, even though Sperbeck just got there. The improvement over the...

Re: Week 11 Big Sky Predictions (And a Couple of Oddballs)

Well so much for the Sac State upset. I didn’t get to see any of the game but it sounded like a hard fought game with turnovers making up the difference. I’ll take a 4-4 Big Sky record as it’s improvement from last years 3-5 record.

No sarcasm. I enjoy the weekly game breakdowns and pregame analysis. I tend to just focus on Sac State so it gives me an idea of what other teams in the BSC are up to. Plus it gives me a little insight as to how teams are playing with respect to the last few weeks so I can try to anticipate how eac...
