Re: 2018-19 Big Sky Basketball

Portland State is only 4-5, but they've beaten both Montana & Weber on the road. :? Viks knew it was going to take awhile before the team could figure out how to play together. They've looked like a totally different team these last three games than they did all year. The funny thing about the ...

Re: 2018-19 Big Sky Basketball

I don't think Sac State has gone beyond the talk phase on a new arena. PSU finally got their new arena, though. It's not big, but it's bigger than the old Stott Center and way nicer—of course, even Hornet Gym was nicer than the old Stott Center. :? Define "talk phase". President Nelsen hi...

Re: 2018-19 Big Sky Basketball

When the Viking women's team wins in Missoula to complete the trifecta, all of us PSU fans are going to have a parade down Broadway.

All 10 of us.

Most Surprising Result: (#3) Eastern Washington 50, (#7) Maine 19 - Eric Barriere, who wasn't even the starter until October, throws a playoff-record 7 touchdown passes. When EWU played at PSU the last game of the season, I thought Barriere was just as good as Gubrud (but I thought he was getting s...

Portland State will be all right if we can just find some shooters. This was Mayhew's first game of the season so he should be able to contribute in conference play.

He was at Arizona State prior to Memphis. Also, he's had two stops at Washington State so he does know the West. In 1999, he was at Idaho State.

There was rumors last year that Oregon State was going to take a run at Hill if they were not able to secure Jonathan Smith. Moot point as the Beavers got their first choice.

I look forward every week for your breakdowns. It is much appreciated and well thought out. :thumb: That said, while the NAU win was surprising, I would have maybe done a collective "surprising result" for the Big Sky with this. Three of the four major rivalry games, the Dam Cup, the Brawl...

Rivalry week in the Big Sky and also the last weekend in conference play. The talk is how many teams will go to the playoffs. This week is make or break for many teams. Heading in to the last week I am sitting at 63-21. Even a perfect week (tough to do during rivalry week) I'll still fall short of ...

Re: Playoff Field

PSU was obviously a bad loss. WIU was questionable since they're 5-5. Davis & NoDak were bad losses since they were blowouts— any blowout loss to an FCS team is a bad loss. Look at what PSU has done since they beat the Griz. They beat UNC and Suck State badly, almost beat ISU and led UND into t...

First off, happy Veteran's Day to those who are serving or have served in the armed forces. Your sacrifices are very much appreciated. Now comes the nitty-gritty time and four teams in the Big Sky are starting to pull away. As for the autobid, there are still two important games left on the schedu...

I'm not going to get on this bandwagon of Idaho State winning the Big Sky, but I will say that the Bengals have quite the balance on offense. After watching them, I was really impressed with the firepower they have. Gueller does a great job at distributing and everyone is pleased with whoever gets t...

Idaho State seems high to me, i do think they are top 5 but "2" seems high. At least right now. I need more convincing. (Not that they are good, but that they are #2 team in the Sky) Right now I'm basing the #2 ranking mainly on their close OT loss at Davis. I'm thinking they are almost (...
