Re: Delaware @ UMass
Our kicking team coach is seriously a moron. We've been trying goofy kickoffs all year and they never work. Just kick it deep and give our players a chance.

Re: Delaware @ UMass
Had every opportunity to be leading at the half. Now we have to figure out how to make Delaware punt to open the 2nd half.

Ah, the usual end of half out-of-bounds kickoff. We are slow, slow learners.

Re: FCS vs. FBS
If say 6 CAA teams moved up together and hook up with Charlotte, App St., Marshall, ECU or Temple to form a new FBS conference, then it might be worth it. Most of the games are played within the conference. If you can keep the rivalries already developed, then a move up would be OK. In fact, it wou...

Re: FCS vs. FBS
If we could freeze the FCS the way it is now, with no more teams moving or dropping the sport and a large playoff held in a neutral city and broadcast on national television, then that would be fine forever. But I do not trust the NCAA, ESPN, Frisco/Chattanooga, the FCS Committee, the media who want...

Re: UMass - Jekyll & Hyde of the CAA
I think we're a good team that tends to execute poorly, and today we ran into a good team that tends not to put itself in position to win. JMU's issues are slightly larger than ours.

I think URI has looked a lot better than Towson so far this season. Rams by 9.

In true FBS bowl fashion, have the PFL champ play the #7 CAA team.

Re: The worst college football stadium?
Other things counting against Duquesne: It's aligned east-west, so one side plays directly into the sun. Yes, and the wind blows and it rains and snows sometimes. Maybe every school should build a dome. You know how much that east-west alignment really matters? Zip. Nada. Nothing. Zero. Ther...

Also, JU might be the only school in the country where you can bring tents into the "stands:" http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4087/5079480110_ce8d7c2f90.jpg Jacksonville's stadium-campers look significantly happier than ours. http://img191.imageshack.us/img191/7306/umasstent.jpg

Re: The worst college football stadium?
Are there any good photos on the internet of the complete renovations to Duquesne's stadium? All I can find are those two small peephole photos on the official athletics website. These are satellite photos (apparently pre-renovation): http://img829.imageshack.us/img829/8792/duquesnestadium1sm.jpg ht...

UMass online streaming is about average. It's watchable. Seen better, seen worse (Stony Brook). Pain in the ass to cancel though.

Re: CAA Predictions Week 5
Towson-UMass is at Towson, for what it is worth. UMass is not a good road team. Self-quoted for truth, except I should have added "not including FBS games". There are only two possible outcomes when UMass goes on the road against a FCS team: if it's a bad opponent, we'll win by the skin o...

UMass is reportedly getting $550k from Michigan. A team which averages 110,000 fans per game can pay more than one which averages 15k fans per game.

Re: Good Luck UMass, beat Michigan
The first goal is to win.
If we can't do that, the second goal is to take it to overtime.
If we can't do that, the third goal is to lose by less than UConn did.
